Hey everyone! We've been getting a lot of questions regarding our powders. Questions like, are powders better than liquids? Why powder? etc. etc
I'm going to touch on a few reasons why we feel our powders are superior.
Liquid nutrient companies deal with water. Water has a saturation point. Customers demand concentrates...they don't want anything diluted.
The solution? Companies mix their liquid nutrients to levels of "super saturation". This creates a very strong liquid concentrate under the right temperature conditions. When these companies mix, they surely add heat to the building to ensure their liquids are in solution and mixed thoroughly.
That's all wonderful... until the temperature changes. Ever had a bottle of liquid nutrients where you can hear solids at the bottom? In chemistry, these salts (ingredients) have fallen out of solution. When they fall out, they are tough to get back into solution properly, even when brought back up to the correct temperature. What you are left with is a bottle of liquid nutrients in a completely different (and wrong) composition. Anytime this happens, these bottles should be disposed of.
If your liquid nutrients are always stored under the right conditions (not too hot not too cold), chances are you'll be just fine. It's just a risk associated with liquid concentrates.
So what are our powders?
We have a unique process that mills and blends each product. What we end up with is a micronized, completely homogeneous powder. Our powders are mesh 150 to mesh 200 in size. They have the consistency of powdered sugar (not table sugar). Science tells us if we micronize our powders this small and mix them thoroughly, they will never "unmix" or settle. Not through shipping.... Not through storage.... Not through 100000 rolls down a hill. What you have is a 100% homogeneous blend that will stay that way from day 1 till finish.
Accuracy is another interesting point. Our nutrient profiles come from the amount of nutrients we add into our water, whether it's a liquid or a solid. Weighing out powders on a scale will always be more accurate than pouring a liquid to a "line". Cultivation is a science....accuracy and observation are a must to understanding why plants grow better. Perfect Grower provides you both
