Well I got some more done, did some caulking around the ceiling edges that meet the wood, got some spray foam in the gaps for the door frame and the veg door frame installed just gotta get some more foam to finish that and also hang the other door put some door stop linings in and weather stripping for a tight seal and paint the room and I'll begin hanging lights, running ducting, have some small wood work to do to build my stand for the flood table and I'll be getting started very shortly hoping to be up and running and babies in the room by the 1st

You reposted the same thing *exactly* 11 hours later. 9AM on a Saturday morning. Must've been one hell of a wake-n-bake!

hey greenthumber, those external joists you have mounted up there for the lights. are they drilled into the room's joists beneath that osb? or is the osb strong enough to just treat as one huge joist?

One screw on the close end on each 2x4 is drilled into the joist but the rest is into the 1/2 osb board due to there is house ducting above on the far end, but that being said that osb is pretty tough, hell in some spots it was hard to even get a screw started lol

I'm on the edge. Of what I'm not sure.

Hey, Looking good!

Anyway to keep those ballasts outside of your room will save you a bunch of load on the A/C.

I use the same relay box...never a problem.

For the heat part of it I would love to have them outside of the room but for young and questioning eyes I had to have them inside for when those eyes are around.. good to hear on the box 👍 Thanks

Is that steel strap holding up those coils of electric cords getting warm? Induction heating... could be a concern.

my only question is about the reflector plugs pointing down....
will they loosen up over time and become a problem?
I bought a hardcore ballast which is a similar style to those type ballast, and it had an extra metal clip to hold the reflector plug into the receptacle... I never hung my ballasts that way so I never thought much of it.... but I saw the pic.... and a light bulb went off... no pun intended...lol

Anyway here's a pic of a ballast with the clip I'm talking about

I don't know if its imperative, but I thought I'd share...

Edit: the simple fix would be to turn them right side up if possible

I thought about that to after I hung them up there but after plugging them in there they fit in hole pretty snug so I'm wasn't to concerned about it, never seen a ballast with a clip like that but I think it's awesome for an accidental thing like hitting the cord or something which brings me to want to do something about my situation for sure
