Exchanging real world names and address’s

What is the common protocol any of you use to exchange your real information with another member? Is the PM actually secure enough for that. Nothing personal to the mods but I’m sure PM’s can be seen by at least some mods.
I just presume using a alternate email with forwarding would be OK. As in I PM a fakebouncy@gmail.com or something to the member I’m wanting to exchange information with. Then take it that route off this site.

There is only 2 people that could see PM's - if we wanted to - but I can't remember the last time we ever needed to - in fact I can't even remember how to get into that area of the control panel - so would have to consult the other fella to find out - that's if we ever needed to - personal messages are personal - and we don't waste our time snooping about members personal stuff -

...if you are committing noteworthy crimes, you must take precautions and shouldn't disclose a peep anywhere online...bouncing it to Gmail is way more dangerous than the servers here that I think are located in the UK...DJ

Loose lips sink ships! There was a post here this WE, the trailer for "The greatest hack", interesting.

That being said, lets go back to Snowden for a bit. He was but, the tip of the iceberg, and BTW, Snowden was nothing new in "real life", this has been going on for years undetected. Right now, I am leery and careful what I say or do. You will not find my brother's foot print on the net. Not by name anyway. That being said, they know he is my brother.

Let,s pull the security cam footage, let's check his social media etc... The mafia had it right. We don't talk over the phone and when you talk in public you cover your lips. " The fucking FBI can hear a snake fart in the desert with a parabolic mike". ~John Gotti (and don't thumb you nose at the FEDs). Go incognito!

Anything discussed here, is subject to scrutiny. Not here is particular but anything online. Think of the Internet as CCTV

So Im going to take a small step and presume that PM is potentially safe enough to send a member name and addy so long as the member is not the LEO. I have never ever shared my personal info with anyone on any canna site. Have to take that first step if you want to run with the dogs.

Pm with proton mail Addy is best as said. But have them sign up too so its proton to proton rather than proton to gmail.
Be safe man, some people here are crim's :)

The safest way is always use a VPN and TOR. PIP is great, but both parties must be using it. I've never been paranoid about using icmag's PM. But like ANYTHING on the internet, it's hackable. The thing that has always made me feel better about gmail, is they claim they just use your data in-house. For their own benefit. And do not sell your data. That's the claim anyway. On the other hand most social network sites do.

ALL that said, I would still never divulge personal info over PM. Anywhere. Especially anything involving legal liability.

I just did some name and address exchanging in a thread about 8 msges long. As soon as the information was complete the thread was deleted.

Exactly. That's what people don't seem to get.

It doesn't matter what precautions one takes if the person one corresponds with has allowed open access on the other end. Google, and by extension, all the third parties they sell information to, has full access to the contact information and email contents of every gmail account.

It's the same with Instagram. Do people doing all their illegal business on there not realize that it's owned by Facebook? That every single thing they do on that site is monitored and recorded and linked with all their other online activity? One warrant and any of these Instagram sellers are fucked. Not only are they leaving a clear trail of evidence, they have conveniently made it easier for forfeitures and asset seizures by having their whole lives recorded on FB, and screwed all their customers, who have also left convenient trails.

It's not just the criminals you have to worry about.
I don't think it really matters too much on the site you use. Every conversation near a cellphone is being recorded, they can access anything in your phone and computer. I even have my doubts on the safety of Tor, since they can already access your phone and well you're trying to hide something. Of course, weeds not too big of a deal when they have child porn and fentynal for sale online hell I actually seen someone trying to sell explosives online. Lol

They have actually busted a lot of drug dealers by tracking cellphones. Nothing you do online is safe. Even years ago a man got caught for murder just because they knew he was there and the GPS on phones have gotten better since. Definitely nothing safe online but, we can get away with a lot of shit just because they have their hands full with real crime.

i would not be worried exchanging data on PMs here. i don't post pictures of grows, i don't sell weed, and if the law wanted us, they would have us. we are but minnows in the sea. big tech is in the govts pocket (unfortunately), and if you don't believe it, i don't care. the more you try to hide, the more you stick out. that said, i don't own a cellphone either, lol. been thinking about giving real info to a person or two on here. i make some pretty cool pipes from deer antler & wood (gifts only), and would need to use real info to ship out on.
