Aeroponic timing ON/OFF

Hi all...i just finished to build my first aeroponic box....seems cool but I have some doubts and maybe you can give me your opinion
1- time on time off....by your experience for how long? which timer are you using? I found only timers that do not loop so i can put inside maximum 80 events per week
2- I heard that using light on the roots could improve growing...did you ever try?

Search for 'cycle timer' on amazon. There are a number of dedicated cycle timers and some chinese brand hybrid time and day / cycle timer devices.

The cycle depends on what you are doing. I have done 1 min on 3 min off in the past. Have gone longer with 1m/5m and it worked fine. You just can't let the roots start to dry out at all. I suggest 1/3 based on my past success.

I'm using a EZ Cloner which I run 15min on and 15 min off.
