Caught a piece of sharp plastic in the eye once years ago, luckily your eye does heal fast and as long as you did not tear into the pupil area and it was just the white of the eye you most likely will make a full speedy recovery although the pain is immense. It is no joke so wear those sunglasses people.

Please rest your eye and get plenty of sleep so your body can heal and keep that eye clean.

thankz......I'm hoping for the best myself........

I was kinda interested in the Styrofoam ball idea....maybe in bright safety orange.......or sum out standing color......and even then they'ed never piecer the eye like the one did yesterday.......

for now i'm hitt'en ALLLLLL......of them w/ a few shards of Duck tape to blunt off the ends.......DAM bamboo splinters.......

BUT the DAM, EYE hurtz........swollen and puss filled looking vampire -zombie........hope this doc....can giv'er sum g00d newz.......
otherwise...........the wifeZ.........guNNa kill me over this one......

I have a sever.... corneal abrasion, w/ significant hemorrhagic in the eyes blood vessels.... completely covered in blood and crying tears of blood......

my whole eye is swollen shut and the vision is about 90% blurred......

already on pain meds....but the throbbing will not stop........
delusional from the off set of my balance and focus, and the blood tear scare me......hopefully know more tomorrow from the specialist.....

pray I will not need eye surgery................or have permanent vision loss in my right eye

please pray..............

had this happen out land surveying many years ago (yaupon holly bush from an atv @ 35mph)
if the doc didn't tell you an eyepatch will help to keep your cones and rods from expanding and contracting thereby shifting your interocular pressure up and down.
you should have prophylactic antibiotic salve to prevent infection as well.
do EVERYTHING exactly as they tell you.

Sorry to hear that....I poked myself good in the eye with those damned stakes too so I know your pain.
Using a green light to see at dark time proved to me that those stakes are not very visible in green light. Left eye still a tad bit blurry, but it did heal up pretty quick. Your will too.

This is The most common accident in Gardening, thats why I pop soda bottles over canes in the veggie patch !!! Even when not blinded by glare it is too easy to just bend down fast and get one in the eye !! They sell very cheaply red plastic covers to go over exposed steels in Concrete on Building sites, perfect for this use. Stay Safe !!!

Oh Yort I just saw this. So sorry brother. Thanks so much for posting this. Any of us who spend much time in the grow room have prolly had close calls from the same scenario. Makes me want to order the styrofoam balls right now. Thanks for giving us all a good heads up.
