LED Chipset Bin Designation

I read (somewhere) that the bin designation is majorly important.
(As in, anything but higher tier will not give the performance that one is after.)

Will one of you LED gurus explain this?

The HLG claims 'top bin' while Aetrum claims 'SK bin.'

Its the led manufacturers product id/naming scheme for grouping similar performing individual diodes together when made en masse. Manufacturer to manufacturer the binning scheme will be different. "Top Bin" means the manufacturer is using the newest generation led they offer. The "SK Bin" means Samsung LM301b diodes are used.

Seems SL is the top bin here(SM for over 4000K cri).
