Anyone ever lost a harvest to mould?

35 years ago everything looking great then it rained virtually every day for a month in june i had botritis mould bursting out of the stems .
I had a young daughter and wife to feed.
12 plants didnt get mold different strain .A

Last year i moved 5 6ft beauty's to a back of a poly tunnel so they were out of the way when some visitors came, Forgot about them for 4 or so days and they are all 80% ruined

about 3 year ago i had a big powdery mildew problem in a 2.4x2.4 tent lost about 70% and got new tent as it was seriously difficult to completly get rid!
