I see a couple of strains listed with Acapulco Gold lineage.
Is there any chance of seeing some straight AG in the near future?

Im not sure how to interpret the silence.
I have a kickass local sativa that has been inbread to the point that seed is barely viable.
IF the seed will sprout next year, it will need a mate.

VERY few on this board are old enough to know what Acalpuco Gold is..or even ever hit it...I did ONCE in 1977...after school one day before theatre practice.....was Soooo ripped the director told me just to go learn my lines....I could not speak it hit me so hard...it was amazing, cerebral.....soaring high....VERY trippy!

You're getting silence mostly because this is the forum for the boutique itself, and any specific questions regarding AG lineage is better directed to the breeders of those lines in their subforum.

Fwiw; Greenhouse Seeds' Acapulco Gold has some things going for it, but it shouldn't be called AG. It's a recreation in name only, so feel free to scratch that one off your list.

I suppose I could use Dutchgrown's Merlin, but it would add Cinderella 99 to the lineage.
Result could end in lack of stability (multi - phenos). not knocking C99, but trying to keep true to the original lineage as much as possible.
Old school Colombian could work for a mate.
But if none of those last few seed sprout in the spring, Im going to be on a real treasure hunt for seed that i havent heard named in decades.

I grew the ACE Panama Red and it was pretty close to red Oaxacan from 70's. Never had AG so know nothing on that. Indoor friendly too.

I think a real AG would not be indoor friendly, and not finish in American latitudes. Almost all those old sativa landrace seeds for sale, have been cut with a indica to make them finish earlier.

A real PITA to grow here.
Pitch the tent in the evening.
Stake her down and grow her like a vine.

Fortunately the male will start producing pollen soon enough for my purpose without a tent.

Seedboutique is the only outlet I would trust when buying seed labeled Acapulco Gold.
I will be looking into using another sativa, maybe Merlin's Magic, but I'm still studying the other sativa strains listed at the bou.
