I am a total dumbass on this, I see others post videos of youtube videos and it's like a screen shot just like what we see on youtube. I would like to start doing that on the doo wop friday night thread for 2021...help!

Also want to set up a way to have a link to each week. Hard to believe but I've put up more than a thousand songs and videos, there's a few people listening in and enjoying, but how do we save the week as a link and add each week to a index page?

I am thinking of deleting one of the very first or second posts in that thread and adding Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, etc with a link to the page that that week begins. I don't know how else to do it, if there's a better way or if you have an idea that you think would be easy for the member to go to any week he/she wants and listen and or view the songs and videos without having to click the back button a 100 time

That kinda sucks as it would now require 2 lines, the name or week number and a link below it, would need to manually count each week in order to name them properly but once it's done it's done. Then would come the added fun of finding out all the bad video;s that would now appear as bad links. Don't want that so this way I think it would invite more participation and as a result the discovery of bad links and therefore the quick mending/replacing.
I spend real time on this, please help this old guy make it as good as we can make it! Thank you

1). import link and highlight to copy the text after the '=' equal sign in your link

2). go advanced and click on the youtube icon.
in between the brackets of the resulting text index paste the copied text from after the '=' equal sign. this will be the new link.



if there are more than one equal sign '=' this method will not work.

3). to check and verify that the new link works click preview post and
click the youtube page as per usual.


edit: #1 and #2 sequence must be followed before going to advanced so that the underlined link is not the source of the copying of after the '=' equal sign. if the link is underlined in
'go advanced' you'll need to get a copy that is not underlined, as in the original copied link. getting the link into 'go advanced' will underline the link and copying it from that window will not work. also i highlighted the portion you will need to copy/paste but do not do that, it will not work if you alter the copy in any way.
hope this hasn't been too confusing.
