Friend added, friend request doesn't go away

Someone requested to be a friend, unless I know the person is a bad risk I often comply because to do otherwise seems snotty and snubbish. I usually know nothing about the person, so I could in fact be adding unsavory characters. Anyway, I added a person. Why is the request still there? ( I logged out too)

Did you check the little box inside the friend square? Check it first so the check mark in in the little box and then choose an action (yeas add friend or no).

That should do it. If added it will add their icon pic in your friends list.
