best affordable dry sift box on the net?

I'm looking at a Gold Mine Dry Sift 3 Screens 8x8x5: 140, 107 and 90 micron screens for 150 dollars. Does anybody know about better boxes at that range? I'm looking for something that is quality/collectable.

Edit: I've just realized this probably belongs in the hashish section.

I always like the Do it Yourself approach.

TWP Inch sells stainless steel mesh online.

You might have to buy 12 square feet - for $5 a square foot.

Basically $100 will buy enough mesh for 5 or 10 or 20 sift boxes, depending on the size of the screen area.

I've used their mesh for geology applications, and abused it cruelly in pursuit of Gold. It holds up real well !!

Dick Blick-

these frames - https://www.dickblick.com/products/blick-wooden-screen-frames-without-fabric/

paired with these fabrics - https://www.dickblick.com/products/monofilament-polyester-screen-fabric/

Use this tool to seat - https://www.dickblick.com/products/awt-cord-setter/

This cord in the frame's channel - https://www.dickblick.com/products/blick-tite-stretch-cord/ I reccomend the 11/64s cord

Stretching the fabric in the frames is super easy if you have a flat surface to work on. Just start in one corner, and go around the frame, slightly stretching as you go. The fabric will tension itself as you drive the cord into the frame.

I have 5 of their largest screens and a yard of every fabric they have. I can easily get 4 new pieces out of every yard of fabric if I damage one of the screens.

Utah Biodiesel Supply has the best variety of screen material available, that I have seen.
Their prices are competitive and you can get 12x12 sample pieces for cheap (perfect size for making a sifting box).

There is zero need to spend $300 on a kief box.

I repurposed a tabletop cigar humidor that I bought for 60 bucks. Put one of the small dick blick frames I mentioned above into it and gave it to a buddy of mine for christmas 20 some odd years ago.

I've re-screened it twice for him, and he still uses it to this day. He says it's one of the best gifts he's ever gotten.

I use an old cigar box I got from a second hand store I made 27 years ago for my daily consumption. Paid 1 dollar for it. After a month of smoking flower, I've got a nice little pile to top a couple bowls with, or make a little ball of hand pressed hash with.

Hell, I've got a 40 dollar grinder that has a kief collection screen in it.

If I want to make a batch of headies, I can use my big screens that cost all of 20 dollars a piece to make.

I made these... it's really easy.

Or, go to Atlas Screen and buy silkscreen frames. I buy 20" x 24" aluminum frames with mesh for about $20 delivered.

WARNING: the silkscreen industry rates screens by MESH size which is different than MICRON size that we are used to dealing with. Search Google for a MESH TO MICRON conversion chart before ordering.

Whatever dude.if you pay 300 for a fucking keif box your fucking stupid or disabled.

Us disabled people can't afford $300 for a kief box.

I thought I would try & kif some buds.

I duct-taped some extra-thick aluminum foil pieces together and washed off a stainless screen with .050 holes.

I was going to try rolling some buds around on it to see if I can get some kief powder on the foil.

If you have a screen can you just roll some buds around and they'll drop some trichomes through the screen ?

I tried making some Kief (sifted tiny pieces of bud + some Trichomes) last night, using Bay Dream.

Tools ... Stainless screen with .050 holes, 2 pieces of heavy duty aluminum foil duct-taped together.

Will try again this morning using Blueberry Headband buds from 2017 outdoors.

I have some .030 screen and some .015 screen. I guess those smaller screens might be better at separating the tiny bud parts from the trichomes.

Cheapo double plastic container. Cut the bottom out of one piece and replaced it with some stainless 170u mesh.

Pneumatic paint shaker.

This fucker is amazing. LOL I walk away and come back to a bottom section full for sift. Shakes about 2 ounces at a time, effectively.
