RIP Adam

Sad day. I am not a rap fan at all but did work with the Beasties in their Atwater studio. Adam was always very cool. My favorite of the band. Besides rap they played awesome funk to punk. The long jam sessions were killer.

lotsa stoners in the general age 40 demographic gonna feel this one.

I saw them play in some small ass clubs before, this was early 90's at the time I was really going to alot of Dead shows seeing the Beasties was like a high energy shot. i remember they came out on stage and just ripped thru three or four songs before they even put the mic down. loved the punk background as well. Egg Raid!

Yauch died on May 4, 2012. He announced in 2009 that he was being treated for cancer, but it is not yet known if his death was a direct result of the cancer.

He was fighting cancer for a few years now and had been sick. Beastie boys always had some nice funky tunes. Rest in peace MCA.
