100% newb

Well as it say's. I am a newb. I am trying it just to see if I can then go from there.

I currently have 4 clones. No idea of breed or anything expect they are plants and was told they are meant for indoor growing. It was a last minute thing and I just quickly toss everything so far together and as time allows properly setting it up.

Soil: When I got them (4 days ago), the root ball was growing out the bottom and quickly transplanted them into regular 5gal pails with holes drilled and just bagged potting soil. I will have time next week to properly setup the pails with a proper soil mix (4parts soil, 2 parts sand and 1 part horse manure). Also the burn marks came with plants. I have fertilized once with 20/20/20 at half strength. I also need to pick up PH sticks.

Lights: As of now All I have are 4-4" T8's. 2 of the lights are Gro-Lux and 2 are cool whites (4100k), and am only putting out 9000lumens. I am running a 20/4 cycle as of now. plant on switching out to a 6 lamp T5.

Location:. I have a white walled 2X4X8 closet now with fans blowing. Pics below.

Quesitons:
How do the plants themselves look? The seem light green to me and shouldn't they be darker?
For the size of the grow room how many watts/lumens should I aim for?

Any other advice would be helpful!

Don't use that fertilizer. Go to a grow shop or order some online that is specific for what we do. I do hydro so I can't really help you out there. Hopefully some one else will chime in. Otherwise everything looks good.

ok thanx guys!

I did get the plants transferred yesterday. I couldn't get my manure or perlite so I had to imper vise. I ended up reusing my 3 way top soil and mixed it 3 parts top soil, 1 part peat moss, 1 part brick sand and I had about 2 gallons of used coffee grinds I tossed in. Also added lime as per PH level.

I watered them before bed and gave them 1/2 strenght of that fertilizer. Hardware store won't take it back. I woke up to them looking like this: Purple stems and a few leaves have tiny little white dots on them. (I think I killed them)

At this point I don't think you need any nutes on those little plants. If there is nothing wrong with the plants then don't add anything extra till there is an issues with them. The horse manure should be more then enough for awhile, your going to burn them with those commercial nutes. Organics is one way to go and you can pick up most of the stuff you need at the local nursery.

They look ok, i wouldnt worry about he purple on the stem. Just use plain water for a watering or two and throw out that 20-20-20, any fertilizer with that much N is synthetic

Well they are doing great! It's almost time to water again. I can't believe how well they hold such little water. I did upgrade to a 6 lamp T5HO. The wholesaler only had 4850L @ 5000K. I might have to order 5000L@6300K via the inter net. Also installed my 90CFM fan but the heat is crazy. I have been checking it constantly and it stabblized at the 81.5*F at soil lever. and is 73 above the light and the exhaust fan running 24/7. The light is 6" off the tips of the plants. This to hott? Humidity is at 40%, anything I can do to bump that up a bit?

well a little update. it's been about a week and the plants are doing fine. I still don't know what sex they are but the one has little white hairs strarting to grow... What are they? For some reason this plant was stunted HUGE and almost died. It has made a really great comeback the past few days almost doubling in size. It's really tight growth though.

well I have a little help from some fellow members and this is where they are as of now. Due to limited space (28"X52") I have tied them down. In the process of building a scrog and will turn to flower in 2 weeks with the way things are going. there's only 2.53 square feet per plant so I need to maximize it. I have them pushed all the way to the back and my thoughts are tie them down till the tips reach the other end, install scrog at that height and should be well on her way into flower and still have decent bud with a massive cola. Next round I will only do 2-3 plants and will be starting from seeds. I have been researching which breed to go with and I feel like I've been running circles.

sorry guy's had to delete
