It has been almost a year since the Farm Bill was signed, how long until hemp prices

It has been almost 1 year of growing a plant that produces 3-4 crops per year, why hasn't the price dropped? What is a reasonable time frame to expect prices that represent what a fair price for a crop of similar maintenance would fetch on the open market?

The big hemp crop here has just been harvested. From what I could tell they had a bunch of mixed strains and the way the harvested it - cutting like silage and dumping into a buggy riding alongside - green immature plants mixed with plants that seemed a little too far done. I doubt the processor will be very impressed.

Give it some time and CBD prices will come down some.

the new USDA graft regs dropped and nothing on the market is compliant anymore since the new rules state THC + THCa < 0.3% with samples being decarbed and mature bud tips from the top two inches of plant sampled 15 days before harvest.

in the past they didn't test for THCa, they tested leaves in early flower not late stage buds.

prices at retail are high but not wholesale anymore.

hemp farming is about to return to fiber and seed in the US next year now that the new rules will put you in prison for having a hot crop.

Just a matter of time....l.hemp will be similarly saturated as with CA's underground market!

Big farm here tried it again, and did a lot better. Plants appear to be similar strains, so they are maturing closer to each other. 3-4' tall, Lots of branches, stuffed with 3" diameter colos. They have had issues with grass, and have been hand chopping the grass. Slow...

Farm has been commercial over 100 years. I wouldn't touch that stuff for the chem uptake, but it will probably end up in CBD tinctures.

They catch a lot of people stealing the stuff. They irrigate with huge pivots.
