Hairy Buds- How to Stop Hair in the Grow Room

My buds seem to come out with a ton and a half of animal hair on them. Most are grown out in the garage. There is an intake (mostly passive) and the ambient air is residential neighborhood.

I bring cut plant into my less than totally spotless home where 3 cats (2 persian and one regular) and one big ass black rottie live and shed.

A lot of people look down on my bud which is admittedly is sometimes hairier than a danish porno from the late 70s.

Thoughts on how to filter that air out in the garage and how to clean up the house so I can trim and dry in here?

Thanks JD, Co.

Could put a filter on the intake, would grab the hair. When you say you bring the cut plants inside, I assume you mean to dry them? If so, find a smaller room/closet and vacuum the shit out of it. Then keep the door closed (but use proper fan's etc to avoid mould). I have 2 hairy ass cats and it sucks to find hair in your trees.

Feed the cats to the rot, and you will have 3/4 of the problem solved.
Actually...I bet some forensic investigation will turn up that the rot is not the culprit at all.

My recommendations may be a bit bias, as I find cats much better bait than pets.

what about doublesided tape or carpet tape around the passives?

Wrap em, Wax em, Shave em.

Wrap em, Wax em, Shave em.

Quite true, forensic investigation has shown that it is the cats, 90 per cent of the time. The rot is too sweet to eat the cats although she loves to sniff them.

Seriously, I think that the problem is in the drying and curing, as well as the trimming. After all, buds are the most sticky then. Will filter up the garage and then isolate the buds in the house, away from where the cats usually live (they live pretty segregated from the rott, because after all she is like 25 times their weight and could really squash them if she got too excited sniffing them~!):thank you:

If you style your cats fur with hair gel that should stop the furry buggers from malting lol. Dont think they'll like it when they clean themselves either, but you'll have the smartest looking cats in the street. I think the waxing and shaving idea may not be appropriate at this time of year as its getting colder, and bald cats look really stupid with goose bumps.

Peace,

I have learned to apply knowledge acquired from other experiences to most things in a grow room.

I once worked in an automotive body shop... Before we painted in a booth we would turn on the exhaust blowers and gradually close the air intake. There is a point where the vacuum in the room is at a maximum; let it blow for a few minutes and then kill the intake altogether and then the exhaust. It might take a couple of times, but will evacuate the room. If not then do it again and disrupt the dust/air in the room with an air hose.

Once you have evacuated spray the room down with a tack spray. It is made to capture any airborne dust or bugs before they can get into the paint on a vehicle. It will dry completely in about 4 hours and your room will no longer have airborne pests getting into your sticky buds.

Back on track, what do you think would be sufficient to filter out hair/dust/gnats/bugs from the intake? Would pantyhose work?

I have been having this same issue.
