Someone with a very nicely tuned in grow was selling fantastic Pitbull to Oregon dispensaries back in the medical days. Every few months there was a new batch of the good stuff and it sold very quickly. It had a recognizably attractive look to the final product so when other people's Pitbull started showing up it was easy to tell the difference.
I can only guess that one dude is probably responsible for the rise in popularity of the stuff, so many people must have smoked those nice flowers. We'd sell a pound of grams, eighths and quarters in like 5 days and so would all the other shops that stuff was in. People would drive across town to get it instead of going to their local shop.

sounds like a shit show to me. why only alcohol distributors? kick downs and cronyism. I lived in the vegas area for 25 years, the mob ain't what it used to be but the government is still corrupt as hell.

None of the alcohol vendors acquired those distribution permits. The medical dispensaries and grows acquired them and became the transportation for their own product. This was a result of alcohol vendors being international companies and needing to stay in good faith with their international permits. Also this expedited the first day of legal sales in Nevada.

Gambling and weed don't mix because of federal gambling laws.
In reno a blind eye is turned to puffing in the parking lots / garages. Not in the casino but still private property.
Outside it is legal to smoke in vehicles if the keys arent in the ignition.
I don't get hotel rooms but I've never heard of anyone getting in trouble for burning in one.
