In the US state of California, the recreational use of cannabis has been legal since January. With 40 million inhabitants, the Golden State is the world's largest cannabis market. But now that farmers have to submit to strict environmental, sanitation and traceability rules, licences are difficult - and expensive - to obtain. Our correspondents report.

They had a small hobby farm that made money in a brief niche market. Something like that will not last forever.

Cali is getting exactly what the people of cali are asking for.

There are a few folks there that know what time it is but most are ignorant sheep that want what they want without the hassle of having to spend the time searching for it.

Unfortunately, Cali and less so Colo are setting the standards for what cannabis legalization will look like in the future.


Regulation IS the new prohibition!
