Have to admit, I did buy some ;)
They will bloom in Finlands summer ;)

Meso ,
Good to hear from you,
Well there are a couple dominant phenotypes
To look for. One is more dc looking with
Branchy short plants , this should represent
About 40% of the plants.
A more Congo looking phenotype
With one long single cola
Pops up in about 60% percent of the plants.
Then of course to look for is the distinctive Congolese
Terpene smell.
Glad to see folks are trying these outdoors.
Although they work great by selecting a clone for indoor runs,
Seeing them flourish under the sun is rewarding.
We bred this on the southeast coast of bc so they are fairly tolerant
Of wet conditions.
Heres a few pics

Put one seed down, got one female. About 7 weeks old. Fits the description of DC looking with lots of branches. Slow grower. As she gets taller the leaves are less and less DC. Waiting on my cuts to take before I throw her in flower. Right now she is almost 20 inches tall. Wondering about the indoor stretch and if the high will differ between the phenotypes.
I'll post a pic once I initiate flower.
Which backcross is this, btw?

Oukkei, didn't know it was this sought after.
Was just curious ;) Back to Congo sounded nice ;)
Thanks to Dubi, I have 10 seeds now, and I'm going to pop 5.
As a deep admirer of Deep Chunk this gets even better, for I'm deffinately after those DC kind of plants.
Let's see if this is going to be keeper.
It always pays off to try something new that Ace is offering.

Wow glad you got one female for your one seed
The version of this line is bx1 females x f1 males
Hope it grows nice for you up there

I would describe the desirable terpene smells
As:
sagey sandlewoody, fuely , incense
Leaves a very distinctive smell in a room after smoking one
Like you have burned a stick of some very exotic incense

Congo #3

Congo #3

DW,

Are you going to work on bringing this line to an F3, breeding towards the valuable Congo #3?

We have f2's we could take into f 3's
This summer we are going to run various generations
And see what pops up
Certainly we encourage selections which are truest to the
Congo 3 mother

Oukkei, here we go.about three weeks old.
We haven't have very much light yet, so they are a bit strechy

That's a nice looking ride:)
But then maybe the little plants when grown, will give you an even better ride;)

Good luck with everything, especially the weather.

Peace

Thank you Koodense, I do enjoy my rides ;)
Back to Congo has very broad leaves, I suppose that comes from Deep Chunk side on the heritageline?
They are looking lovely, I already like these little bastards ;)

That's not a bad thing at all.
On a side there is some X18 x Deep Chunk growing.
Hoping to get some seeds of that too.
And some Black Dominas, I like both indicas and sativas.
Sativas do better in summer, indicas mostly for inside grow ;) in winter

I put 4 BtC seeds indoors few weeks ago...all came fems :woohoo:
My friends will put the rest outside, same latitude as Sir Williams but the old continent ;)
Plants are very vigorous, 2 or more phenos me thinks (1/4 is a shorter one), solid big colas growing (no LST due to lack of space).

Growing organic only, one plant shows brown spots and yellowing edges, claw-ed up top fan leaves...I possibly overdid it with the organic amendments when re-potting or it was close to light (not 100% sure). Moved her away, thinking of flushing her but not sure...

I will post some pics when I get a chance soon.

Thanks to Richie and the Ace team for spreading the love :dance013:
