Does that explain the difference in humic acid used in bottled organic nutes to chelate and humic acid dry powder or from the peat, etc? Because I don't see one. Is it just about the benefits of using it? What is it about because I'm pretty sure I know what it does. I'll have to google it later as I'm on my phone.

The bad chelates are the ones in synthetic nutes and are attached to iron. From what I understand anyways. If you just wanted to use the grow and bloom bottles it's $40 and it's even cheaper online. Use with amended soil like the foxfarm and were talking a years worth of growing. I don't think that is too shabby if you're not growing in big beds.

Well I hope you get your soil recipe working.

Thanks LLB! The vids basically humus on a planetary level and its need to be present. It defines Humus and is a good idiology for mankind to get behind. On another note I use BioAg so I'm good to go.

Well this is a pick of the little woman. Just gave her a mix of 5ml AGSIL16H(potassium silicate) mix(3 tbs.: 8 oz. of water), 1/4 cup Aloe Vera juce(1/2 tsp. of 200x Powder : 6 oz of water), 1/2 cup coconut water, and 25 ml. of Ful-power / per gallon.

I use a watering method were you wet the soil. Come back a couple hours later and finish your watering.

I'm getting blumats :D I was just shown a pic of root knuckle and I can't wait! No more hydrophobic peat and hand watering daily. I can't wait to top dress that mound of roots. Did you see that?!

Yeah, if you want to see more YouTube Blumats. You didn't mention anything about the ONLY girl in the house. What do you think of the little cRooKeD leaf PCK after six days?

Sounds good LLB! What prompted you to say to do it? Regular practice? Crooked leaf? Current coloration?

Whenever they seem sad I spray em. Do you remember my weird wrinkled leaves? I gave them a foliar of a marine algae kelp extract and it grew so fast it ripped away from the leaf margins? In the bottom left the wrinkled leaves were happening. But now all new growth is fine.

Exploding leaf margins:

That's Kool! I've never heard of that. Thanks for the pic! I haven't given her the foliar yet but she really seems happy today. When I looked at her after not seeing her for 8hrs she looked BIGGER. Maybe tomorrow with the kelp love.

on a side note, I've been watching root porn on the blumats and :jawdrop: that is going to help keep my microbes rockin!! I have no idea why I never saw this before and boy am I glad I'm finally getting a set. do you have your already or are you considering them? those roots are just expoding out of there and you don't see that stuff unless you're looking at hydro stuff. makes me miss the old'en days and now they can come together for a more interesting grow! I'm too excited!

Blunmat

Blunmat

I've hd based the patio/Deck starter set to get my feet wet. One thing I am concerned with is them keeping ALL of the soil moist. I have 5 Gal airpots(5gal rated actually) and I hear two things. Airpots dry out quick and blumats go along with them like PBJ. That being said, that root porn is all about roots finding the water. I figure ill water once and while with tea's and the like to maintain my soil life.

that is what i plan on as well. i am using them to keep at least the soil somewhat moist to keep the soil more alive and it will also help with the peat being hydrophobic since it's already moist so when i do hand water, i can do it much faster. i think underneath there is more distribution than you realize....at least that is what I'm banking on. i have a moisture meter so i can check it.

i just threw plants in there right now and so I'm not sure how I'm going to set it up. they are spaced out every two weeks right now so one side of the tent is going to be harvested at once so i can set it up on half but I'm going to wait. i want make some adjustments but with the way things are, its not going to happen soon. wish i could just throw them in there and get started. i could set up the mothers in veg for fun :thinking:also need to make some trays or use the trays i have in a different set up which would be just fine. getting the system involves for me a lot of rearranging and since the tent is packed, it's not happening soon.

Well I thought the crooked leaf "thing" would just go away. Here is a current pic. Looks like this is the way it's going to grow. A guys got to wonder if its something he's doing/not doing or just this pheno. Ill leave something in the pCk thread and see what feedback there is.

I've had a couple responses to testament the PCK crooked leaf pheno hunch to be right. Even got some positive vibes saying the crooked leaf pheno had the best colors. Not to mention it didn't affect yields.

Update

Update

Had a couple seeds pop in the last couple days. One looked a little deformed but I potted them both in one gallon containers any way. The early veg mix I used was(i used 14 oz cups) 1 part rice hull, 1 part chunky P, 1 part #4 coco, 1 peat, 1/2 part hydroton, 1/2 vermiculite, 1 part EWC, and 9 parts local organic composted soil. Along with this I added some dolomite lime(4tbs per gallon was the ratios I got from the soil from beginners thread. I dumbed it down a tad.), and before I filled the pot I sprayed it down with my spray bottle. I then sprinkled Happy Frog "Jump Start" to the sides and bottom of the pot. Then put my soil in and...(just realized I didn't put my usual hydroton layer on the bottom). Hmmm. Next time Spray, hydroton, sprinkle, then soil. Any way, I put my soil in and then my seedlings. I buried the stems and will let them stretch before I add my hydroton top layer. I started a brew yesterday which I breed for 27-28 hrs at around 55-65 room temp(a little cold I know). This tea I used to drench the sprouts, PCK, and the 5 gal(actually 3.6 gallons airpot says that's the equivalency) airpot I am preping for the PCK.

sounds like a lot of work to transplant some girls. I know we're fussy :p but really you don't need to do all that like mix the soil so the fertilizer is on the sides and bottom or add an aeration bottom layer. this was just being talked about on my thread.

sounds like good soil mix and burying the stems is smart :)

Thank you Space Toker, I hope the Christmas bud was good out in the Kozmo's for you(I'm such a cornball).

Good morning Bean! It wasn't any work at all. All the stuff is there in front of me so no big deal. Probably more effort in reading the thread than mixing it up. I like, scratch that, I love "gardening". A guy's/gal's got to have a hobby. Did anyone mention on your thread that any of those things were bad? To tell you the truth. It's really about diversity. I mean 1/2 cup hydroton! Who does that? No one I e seen. BUT, every brotha and there motha talk about diversity. All those differant textures, places for microbes to develop, and differant size air pockets... Shit sista, if had to be a microbe I would want to be a one in my soil. Can you say "happy new year?" Piss on a boring mix I say. Diversify. That's just me having fun though.
I hope the seedlings make it. I'm going to need some of those awesome LLB, happy sox, soon to harvest vibes sent there way. TTYL LLB! Hope your Xmas was good!
