hey bro,
sooo nice...looks frosty and sweet....i dont see heat stress....may its just because the plantz nearly finished?? what are your temps???

@buddah

Danke Kumpel

temps when it was hot outside became 35 degrees sometimes

i think the plants look fucked up , the buds look okay but the leaves are really fucked , outdoors or in the greenhouse i never get leaves like that , i'm not talking bout the color , but the way they look , twist and turn

PLus the top cm of the colas smells less strong then the bottom part , so that's why i think it's heat

also look at the mirre nr 3 and 4 pics from in the tent , the fan leaves look really weird

@ karma : I'll bring you a nug in a few weeks

@rs thx

@ core / welcome

day 79

the grow came to an end today , they all had been flushed for 14 days.
The nederzaad plants had a lot of amber trichs , maybe a bit to many , the mirre's where just about ready just one or 2 sweet jacks could go a bit longer

But i am not gonna let a 600 watt lamp burn for just a few plants so i took everything down so i could use that space to dry everything

Here pics

i made quit a few since it will be the last update of the girl in their non dried state :D

img43072524323.jpg

All of the girls together one last time

Nederzaad 100% indica

These are big yielders , i should have supported the branches but i only did it with one plant , consequence is that the buds that where falling over got less light so where not as big as they should have been

ah well fuck it

Smell is fresh herby wit something fruity which reminds me of apple , not real apple , but the artificial apple aroma used in candy and chewing gum

I should have harvested earlier , Hans , the breeder , always harvested his at about 50/60% red hairs

Now this last nederzaad plants , prolly cuz it was right under the lamp , had the biggest buds , but the top colas are not really sticky like the rest of her lower buds and smell less

This is definately something i have to find a solution for as i am pretty sure this will have condequences for the quality of the buds

The ones more in the corner are stickier

I have a homebox xl of 120 square centimeters that is 2 meter high and an exhaust of 160 kubig meters , that should be enough no?

I think it's because of the heat

Sweet jack

I have found 2 phenos thus far , smelly , dank sweet fruity phenos , these are the taller ones with longer flowering

Then the other pheno smells less sweet and dank but makes fat round indica nugs

Now the sweet jacks didn't get the best spots in the tent so some are a bit stretched , still they did well

and now the last 2 plants , the 2 last mirre's

They are both nice and ripe and with the scope i can see one or two amber trichs , the rest milky

I am really very very happy with how these 2 turned out , both big yielders and they are beautiful , one is more indica, the other more sativa

More or less the same smell , still the more indica smells the strongest and looks just that bit whiter

Good thing is that of that one , the nr5 plant , i have a cutting with label , i lost the labels of all other mirre's

So it was destiny that i would choose her as keeper ;)

Still i'm gonna wait after i tried it .

But as far as looks and such is concerned this is my favorite and i don't mind waiting 2 weeks longer

Plant nr 1

this is the more sativa pheno , just beautiful buds

I have a mother of all mirre's so i am gonna grew them out all 4 again to see which is my favorite after a second run

The shorter flowering pheno was also interesting , strange thing is , the shorter flowering mirre ate like a horse and turned all purple once i stopped feeding(the leaves i mean) , still she had the lowest yield

But i am sure that if i can get the shorter flowering one dialed in she can also make big buds, she just needs a LOT more food then the others

This update was long and boring to do so i am gonna vape a bit :dance013:

Verry ncie plants THC123, looks like you did very well. 160m3 fan is small for your 600w lamp. You should have a 250m3 fan, that is what we sell with a 600w tent. that would defantly make a difernce.

They are all loking mighty fine in the sunshine, Enjoy.

@ the dry master

I'm gonna do one final try here :D

if again it doesn't go as i want it , I'll bring the next harvest to you for drying

At the moment i just don't feel like stuffing my car with a lot of smelly fresh sticky branches and drive for 45 minutes to your place

If i can avoid that i will , cuz it is risky should i encounter our blue friends

What i want to do this time is to follow all your pointers and every time i got a Question I'll PM you

I just have to get weed tasty like yours here at my place

I have cut the branches whole and took only the fan leaves of , just like you dry , after 3 weeks I'll check em

I have understood that the Nederzaad beige x white you gave me also dried for just 3 weeks , well that weed was perfect for me , not to dry , not too wet, smooth tasty and strong

@ buddah

I'll weigh the harvest , up to now i got 15 grams of mazar nr 1 and 20 grams of mazar nr 2 , these where the small plants , i bet the mirre's and nederzaad plants will yield double
that

@ Karma

Thx 4 the advice , when i visit your shop soon , i want to buy a 250 fan , can you put one aside for me? what is the price?

Your mirre is a beauty

@ esben : thx broski

@core

lol driving 45 minutes with that awsome stuff in the car ...you must be prettig gestoord hehehe ....don't do that mate...this is how you get caught !

yeah that's why i am not gonna do it

see the thing is i used to have a drying room here that now has become a giant closet for clothes

In that room i just hung my branches and 4/6 weeks later the weed was just perfect

Ever since i took down that room in 2006 , i have been struggling with the whole after harvest thing

growing is easy i think but harvesting and drying for me is the most difficult part (i have read all the faqs , guides and tried everything)

the part of drying a bud till a certain point so that aroma and taste are smooth and the high is strong , but especially keeping the herb at that point is my biggest problem

The last 2 years i have been drying the herb for about 10-14 days and then freezing
This works very very well for me. I vape my herb and when vaping it is important to have a strong smell because it translates in the taste.
I love the aroma of freshly harvested weed and i do get that taste perfectly that way when vaping

But when smoking the herb pure , it is another story , because i don't cure my herb , the herb doesn't burn evenly and is a bit harsh when smoked.

Nutes or flush aren't the problem

And i want to get it right 100% , cuz sometimes i also like to smoke a fatty

that's why dread wanted to dry my herb for me in his attick as he always has stellar weed

i have been growin for 10 years and it is time to get that part right

i am also trying simon's way with a mazar of mine , will cure that one for 8 weeks and then test
