Bingo!Would it be correct to say that those of us who grow weed for personal consumption would welcome immediate decriminalization right away, while those who grow weed to sell, might prefer that cannabis either remains illegal at the federal level, or that its decriminalization be delayed by any means possible, to retain their market share, and fend off big corporations eager to monopolize commercial cannabis cultivation ?
Has it escaped you that GOP has been driving the shockingly high deficits the last few decades? Standard operating procedure for them.Let's hold the party till the new administration comes in and/or the Dems have a Senate majority. This bill will either be delayed or defeated till then, and since Biden seems exactly stupid enough to try austerity at the worst possible time, I assume his dry old balls will be itching to get some new tax revenue to the tune of billions. Let's just hope ol' Mitch realizes the delay is a better option for his party, since people pretty obviously favor decrim right now.
Agreed: the Georgia runoffs are extremely important, and yes, if blue takes it, that will mean Dem majorities in Congress and a dem administration.I agree and understand......but here's the deal. The runoff election in Georgia in January is EXTREMELY important. If Democrats win, they will control the Senate. They will then have house, senate and president. This bill will get passed first thing and here come the corporations. If Republicans win Georgia, at least we'll have 4 more years before corporations come in. (I'm left on a lot of things, but balance in congress is needed right now, especially how socialist they've become)
industry payoffs for ‘delivering brexit’ he’s off to an exotic island somewhere)
Politics is beholden to money, so yeah. I take this as a sign that the politicians have realized weed smokers and freeing convicts is worth a lot of fuckin' money. I'll take a win any way I can get it this year.
