Not to shit on anyones parade but there is also this.

I just got the code for this from the guy, it's made for an arduino mega 2560 and a 3.2" TFT LCD.

I haven't been able to test it yet though.

Yes !!! I'm keeping an eye on his work for a long time till now. His machine looks very good - only one important thing is missing. Remote control. You just can not go on vacation for a few days, if a round is running.

I don't understand what you mean exactly, why could you not go away for a few days.

I bought the parts to play around with it a bit, I know a guy who I could hire to do some programming to change some stuff around, but I've been looking at your system too.

I kind of like the way the sensors are in the phone jack style housings, and just plug in via telephone cord.

The price point is pretty nice too compared to something like an iponics.

I might end up grabbing a growduino in the not too distant future.

Hello all,
Most of the info here is way above my skill level but I saw these units on Amazon to control both heat and air cooling from one sensor and one device for only like $16.00. I came here to see if I could get an opinion please. Could you run an exhaust fan on the cooling side and run a baseboard heater on the heat side. Does it seem like that's realistic?
Here's a link to the item: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OXPE8U6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1RUFFFCQ74BCW
Thanks for any help.
Peace

why separate sensor elements rather than a single combined unit for atmospheric variables?

Yes, if your exhaust fan is less than 5A @ 120v and if your baseboard heater is less than 5A @ 120V or 10A @ 240v.

Minds: Sorry my sentence was not clear but it does have just one sensor and a circuit on each side for the low temp activation and the high side temp activation.

5 amps is quite low for a heater or a fan. They could only be about 500 watts each...correct?

If that's true these units would only be good for tents or cabinets and not a 10' x 10' room.

It's just because of the relays they chose to use. You could probably buy one, open it up, and swap out the relay for a higher amp relay, and you could switch a larger load.

Maybe not that easy if SSRs are used - for higher Amps needs heatsink.

CO sensors

CO sensors

So Guys - 3 pieces of CO2 sensors from DFRobot are on the way :)

I will have to solve separated power for them - they need 5V (seems like Arduino Digital pins will be enough - but not), but high amps according to info from DFRobot person. Maybe 5V 1A will be needed.

Guys I know it's May, but I have no timeleft for Growduino development right now. If you're interested, please be patient, I will return here in a few days...

Growduino is back

Growduino is back

Hi guys, it's been long time since my last post, I know.

But some amount of development has been done on Growduino. We have pH, EC and CO2 sensors, we have CO2 dosing tied together with ventilation (so saving a lot of gas/money by nondisposing if ventilation is running), we have a new internal UPS, we have supereasy user calibration for some sensors and some more.

I have to update ENG pages for that, but CZ pages are OK now. You can see the pictures at http://growduino.cz/

And hey - did You realize, that OG is running again (a new one!) - check at https://overgrow.com/ .
