TEST DEMO of 8 Sour Bubble 3rd bx from seed.

I have done one test run already as well as several germination tests. In the germination tests I selected for the last group marginal seeds only. Even the small and not mature seeds grew well with good germ rates and these are the plants grown from the worst seeds I had.

Normally I just throw seeds like those away but they are good for testing. The looks of the seed has little to do with the plant because the genetics if intact are intact and the results will be the same as long as the seed grows.

I have vegged these plants about 9-10 weeks now and they are still in the 2 gallon pots. They were started in 1 qt pots and transplanted about a month ago. The plants are rooted and waiting for flowering to be induced. They are already moved to my flowering room but the lights are on 16/8 still. They were topped except for the shortest one about a week ago. Soon I will induce flowering.

These pics were taken on Oct. 5th and they still are vegging. The room has 3-600 watt hps lights and some co2 enrichment. When sexed they will be given my final transplant...the females that is and I will double pot some with other elevated transplanted for comparison.

Excuse these first pics in hps light. Note the similarity with only one plant significantly taller than the others. BOG :woohoo:

You see all 8 plants in the first pic and half of them in the second one.

Recently Humbolt High sent me a sour bubble bx 1 bud he grew...

Updates to come...

I need to find the last pic of them in the 1 qt pots. They were really rootbound and big. They just wouldn't yellow because the sour bubble is really so thick leaved and hardy. Once transplanted they really took off because being rootbound for a time in small pots delayed their growth. Normally my other strains need transplanting sooner and these should have been too but I often do this.

It saves space in veg and when my other room is almost done I like to time it so that they can go in there at the right size. This time they were needing another week of veg because while rooted they aren't rootbound. There are some roots coming out now and in a week they will need a transplant because they will shoot under the higher intensity lighting now.

Sour Bubble isn't a larger yielder of my strains however because it doesn't grow that much in flowering. It is a growers dream come true as far as resistance to mites from my experience. These plants dont have mites however. My predator mites are on them and the blessings will be seen. No spider mites in BOG's BOG anymore thanks to GrowDoc and his info about these saviors.

Here they are under compact floros still in the 1 qt pots about5 weeks ago before transplant. Once transplanted they went down under the 1K MH light and with the new soil and some ferts they shot up about another foot.

I have 15 of these (bx3) buggers in seedling stage right now.

After smoking BOG's Sour Bubble, I want more. It's got a very nice, sour taste, and the density is off the charts.

Very nice strain BOG! I'm excited to see what I find in mine.

Thanks CC and I know that the SB3 seeds are nearly perfect now but what would a 4th bx to the clone do? :D BOG

It wouldn't have to make it cost more.

It wouldn't have to make it cost more.

I want to show you better pics for comparison of uniformity of color. These pics were taken a day later and with the hps lights off. Note the very dark and shiny green leaves. There is some variation in leaf size but they are all very similar still. :chin: I wonder what my m/f ratio will be this time?

Still in veg and doing well. I double potted 3 and elevated transplanted the other 5. My girlfriend has a robe in the first pic as she helps me. Then in second pic she's nude because she had a hot flash... BOG :D

Mr Bog, I've got a question, What does Mrs Bog think of you having your girl friend helping ? And I've got a comment, Very nice looking plants. I'm smoking Lifesaver and Bogglegum right now and I'm enjoying it.

Those are some of the meatiest, dark green leaves I have ever seen.

It is a given that I will be growing this strain, I have a buddy that has had excellent results with normal BogBubble. The only question I have for you, BOG, is where do you recommend for the "best" place to buy the beans from?

P.S. I have a pack of L.S.D. that I will be sprouting here in a couple weeks, I can't wait

Where you Buy?

Where you Buy?

If you like this site why not order from Gypsy? Have you visited www.seedboutique.com yet to see the prices on my seeds there?

Some people want seeds sent from as close to their location as possible but if it has to cross a border its all the same really.

Look for a bargain at an auction site like www.seedbay.com and see that I have 2 pages of deals there and some are instant purchase. :D

Anywhere you find BOG Seeds know that you will be assurred getting what you expected. True quality with the ultimate warrenty. Thanks. BOG

Lifestar is new... and rising!

BOG-

I hope my 3rd BX seeds get here soon - they were mailed on the 23rd of Sep from Seedbay. These look too good not to try along with my Sweet Cindys!

How much stretch on the Sweet Cindy? If I am going to grow them together, I may need to top & train the Cindys.

Looks great as usual boss.

Due to my vegging/flowering room size restrictions, I grow in what many people would think are too small containers. However, I would be willing to bet that I get just as much product irt watts/area/plant ratio.

One of the things I started using a few years ago was copper sulfate. I get the liquid and paint the inside of my containers. I let it completely dry for a day or so and then add the soil mix.

The roots do not like the Copper Sulfate and as soon as they touch it, they move off into another direction.

Normally when you have a root bound plant, the roots are all up agains the sides and bottom. In my containers, the roots are EVERYWHERE.....

All this is gonna change after I make my move to the Great White North and build the vegging and flower rooms of my dreams! :D

Well done Bog! You have always been and will always remain, my Canna-hero! :smoke:

That looks like one of those fixtures that are made to put in the bathroom over a mirror. I was also checking that out... Pretty good idea. You can get them very cheap too.

SB 3 is selling like hotcakes!

SB 3 is selling like hotcakes!

Gypsy just let me know that I am doing very well of late and that my SB3 is one of the best selling higher priced lines. :D

No wonder really because when I was in Toronto the SB1 they had grown was awesome. Out in Humbolt they had the same awesome results and as you continue to see reports come in you know Sour bubble is something very special.

Gunns, some good growers can keep plants healthy in smaller pots and sour bubble tends to stay green even when rootbound. The painting of the inside of your pots does something like square pots can do. The corners are said to turn the roots back inward on the rootball. I could have finished these in the 2 gallon pots but I want to veg them now transplanted until really growing again and then push them into flower to get a decent yield. I like the way a transplant brings on a new burst of growth and timing this "shoot" as I call it helps any plant yield well.

Ohenry, thanks but there is still variation some having large hands and some small but still I like what I see more than the 1st or 2nd bx's so lets keep our fingers crossed on the final results. This strain is still in the process and testing but its so darned good who could wait? I didnt want to hold her back because I knew a good SB1 mom would rock any indica lovers world.

The 15 dollar chrome fixture was purchased at wal-mart for 15 bucks and a few of them would be good but the linear ones look better. Get the 17 inch cf tubes in a double tubed fixture. They really put out the compact floro light right where you want it instead of the curling tubes making them very very efficient. I think the future is cf floros and perhaps even in flower but as of now I promote it for all of veg. I still use some mh but see no reason why. BOG

Lifestar 2nd bx in veg...

never topped or trained.
