Someone told me propane and butane bond together when mixed. Does that then mean that they recover together at the same rate?
Both are simple fully saturated Alkanes, so all their bonds are full as are their orbits, so there is mixing, but no bonding.
You are way above both of their boiling points, so they stay mixed during recovery. You can fractionally distill them, but it has to be above the boiling point of propane, but below the boiling point of butane.
Since propane has such a lower boiling point, does that mean the propane is recovering faster even though their mixed (assuming equal parts bu/pro?
