Drying and storing pH treated Rockwool cubes?

After I lower the pH of rockwool cubes (soak in 5-6 pH water to leach off the lime), can I dry them and store them for later use?

I don't know that they'd be useable. They'd certainly no longer be sterile and who knows what might start growing in there. Sounds like a quick path to mold and PM.

While Rockwool is no longer my primary media, I ran it for years without "treatment". Still use it for germ and clone. Tried the pre-soak out of curiosity and saw no difference.

I have tried it a few times.. different ways and only one way works.
after they dry up the bacteria takes over and plants don't grow very well in them. And they mold over very fast when you get them wet again.

to fix the problem, you need to leave them in a peroxide solution at least @ 3% for a few hours. then again into rockwool treatment. they can be used now, no need to soak for long time. But they won't look pretty, they will be very soft and look more like a cotton cube then fiberglass.
