Just built the new aero system and put in some Deathstar. GH 3 PART flora, micro, bloom. Superthrive, cal mag, liquid karma, spray n grow, and kool bloom. Keeping the ph between 5.8-6.2 for the uptake of micro and macro nutrients. We are using the Lush 2xl LED. light. Right now that is being run at 50 percent. The clones went right from cloner to aero sytem, after they were all topped. Aeroponics growth is fast, and it's my favorite way to grow!!!!!

aeroponics and led = back to the future foe me!

1 week in the aero system. They went through some stress because the cuts didn't get any food in the cloner, so when we moved them, they took about 5 days to turn around. Now they are really doing their thing. Aeroponic growth is amazing and fast!!! I started the nutes low, and have let them creep up to 500ppm. The roots have exploded. The roots have taken on the color of gh micro, but that is to be expected. The res temp is 72, and the room temp is 75. We have turned the led to full power, and should be flipping into flower by the end of the week!!!!

Welcome Ganoderma. We are currently running the water constantly. We will probably keep it always on, unless we run into any problems. We are using a 27 gallon res. There are drains in each tube, and the tubes angle down slightly. We ran 3/4 inch pvc in each tube for the spray manifold. We can access them by popping off endcaps, should the need arise. It has been a long time since we ran aero, but it is just as we remember it.......AWESOME!!!!!
Here are today's pics. The res temp dropped to 69, and unlike people, the roots don't like 69, lol. Dirty joke thete, hehehe!!! So the plants look like they could be much happier. We will have to put the heater in the res. Hopefully this means we won't need a chiller.

Today's pics. They are still vegging, but this weekend will be the flip. The ph is staying steady at 6.1, nutes at 400ppm, cause with the led's they use less nutes. Trying not to burn them! The only snag was the res temp, and it dropped to 69. The plants immediately let us know that was no bueno, lol. They have since bounced back and are growing vigorously.

Who dat is, welcome! Aero is amazing and my favorite way to grow. It keeps you on your toes though. Our first grow was aeroponic. We had every bad thing happen that can happen with aero, the worst being root rot. But, we worked it out, but circumstances changed and aero was no longer practical for us. Fast forward to today, and it is practical again, lol. We also decided to try LED with the aero system. Less heat. So far so good, but it is a long road between today and harvest. If you get dialed in with aero, it's the best way to grow!!!!

Trichrider, what's up? I'm feeling myself with the aero. TOH was not on board st first, but I nagged, bitched, begged, and used my feminine wiles, and he came around, lol. All these years and I have wanted to get back to aero. We were just about to start aero again, when the bad stuff happened a few years ago. But we sre back at it, with LED's........so we shall see.
