For Me, Smoothies, as well as trying (sometimes failing) to remain Gluten-Free. Other things as well. Although I aspire to much, I rarely hit it on all points. A gym run of months followed by a dearth of workouts.. But,the average is what I shoot for. A balance.

My Smoothie this week (56 ozs):

2 Bananas
1 Avocado
3 Kiwi
1/2 pack of Blackberries
1/2 pack of Blueberries
1 full oack of Raspberries
1/2 a cantalope
Spirulina powder
Flax oil
Pomegranate Juice (4 ozs)
Organic Full Fat Yoghurt
2 mangoes

Figured out the cost to be 19.20 for the supplies to make the
smoothie. Most of it was organic.

Beet Juice (3 beets)
Carrot Juice (5 lbs)
Ginger (a nub)
Apples (3 apples)
Parsley (2 bunches)

all ground up in a juicer together - all organic.

Gotta watch out for this, as a particular PUFA acid is released by the beets and carrots in juicing (only), which temporarily demobilizes the Thyroid and Pituitary systems. Too regular use will make for thyroid discomfort or worse.

It also acts as a NATURAL VIAGRA.. Try it.. You'll see the very same day.. It's amazing.

Cardio 2x a week- intervals on treadmill, heavy bag training

Weight lifting 3x a week-5x5 program is my favorite but i got a gym in basement so i do it all.

Cut back on Carbs late at night and eat more protein to lose fat but keep muscle. Eat alot of fresh fruit for munchies. No junk food, cookies, pies, cake, ice cream...

Been training like this for 5 years no breaks unless sick. Ive been into powerlifting for few years but slowly have converted to bodybuilding and learning how to properly eat.

Getting to a healthy weight FOR YOU is the most important thing. There are a million ways to get there. I think as far as diet goes...most things are ok if taken in moderation. I was a big soft drink person, thats all I would drink. Now I have around 40z first thing in the morning and its water the rest of the day. That alone mixed with light daily cardio is enough to shed some pounds. Watch what and how much you eat . Gradually amp up your cardio and add weight ( deciding if you want tone or mass) and wala you are healthy. Oh and vape

I fill half the blender with Kale (complex carbs) other half with spinach(complex carb).....blend it up...........I ad 1 avocado, 1 banana, and 1 cup of fruit (fruit is all sugar and gets burned away very quickly....you want greens, not fruit). Blend it all up and I drink it every morning before I work out for an hour before going to school.......keeps me going for awhile but can get pricey.

Yer smoothies shouldn't have a lot of fruit in them, fruit really isn't that good for you and ISN'T a good source of vitamins.....veggies are WAY better for you.........you drink smoothies to fuel your body, doesn't matter what it tastes like.

All those booster juice/smoothie places are a rip off and they don't know why there putting the stuff they do into there drinks........pretty sad.

When you guys are getting advice don't go off dr f'n OZ or any other kinda BS like that.........Go find someone with a PHD in biochem/chem/organic chem........listen to what they have to say. These people are always learning and doing research where as family physicians stop learning the minute there out of school.......In fact, you can kinda think of family docs as glorified nurses really.

Hey Beaker, fruit is very good for human consumption and I can assure you it is full of vitamins and minerals, I have many raw vegan friends that eat only fruit diets. Where did you get the impression fruit is not that good for us? Vegetables are not better than fruit they are all equal... apart from a few that are acidic forming on the body. Fruit and vegetables hold different vitamins and minerals!

Peace brother :ying:

Fruit is high in sugar but not unhealthy at all. I eat pineapple religously in my cottage cheese. I try to eat 3500-4000 calories a day. I would be a stick if i was vegan(not healthy dont care what anybody says). Veggies are more for vitamins and filler but i eat to gain muscle and loose fat. High calorie protein diet...6-8 eggs with 1 -2 cups oatmeal, protein mixed with OJ, pb&j, Tuna sandwichs, 2 chicken breasts, another protein shake, greek yogurt, nuts, dinner usually big piece of RED meat baby! with potato, Some form of fruit snack, and finish it off with cottage cheese, and if i feel munchies ill eat beef jerkey and more plain yogurt with fresh fruit added. Thats everyday meal for me. Only drink water except right after workouts drink gatorade. NO fried food ever and only whole wheat bread. On heavy lifting days i add more calories in but keep my Macros at right levels to gain muscle and make body want to burn fat. More fat you eat less the body stores. So many myths about eating healthy that most people eating "healthy" food arent eating right at all. If your not lifting weights this diet would make you fat quick so dont follow it unless your into heavy lifting 3x a week and trying to get some muscles on your skinny asses.

Time to go do some 5x5 heavy squats, decline press, and bent over rows....

Hey Pro, you are correct fruit is high in sugar but what people don't understand it is natural sugar... Not the white refined stuff which is detrimental to our health. May I ask what is unhealthy about being slim, the wisest healthiest people to walk the earth were very slim, Siddhartha Gautama, Mahatma Gandhi, Lao Tzu ect. It is actually unhealthy to be carrying heavy weight on your body (muscle) it puts strain on the heart and it is not natural... If it was natural we would be born with the extra weight. Lifting heavy weights is resistance against the flow of nature and the universe... We are the universe, we are nature, separation only exists through the illusion of reality.

It is not how much you eat it is what you eat, we can consume 4000 calories a day no problem without working out and not pack on unhealthy amounts of weight. Carbohydrates, protein and fats provide calories... Vege has nearly a zero fat content thus we can consume large amounts of calories that produce very little fat.

Nothing unhealthy about being skinny. If you eat 4000 calories and dont workout you will get fat no matter if its McD's or just straight fruit and vegetables. The body stores calories no matter what they come from. You realize how much fruit and vegetables it would take to eat 4000 calories? Carb, protein, and fats take a bag seat to calories when it comes to weight gain be it a deficit to loss weight or surplus to gain. Now based on your Carbs, protein and fats is what kind of weight(fat or muscle) you will gain or loss. Not that you can eat just protein to gain just muscle or no fat to loss fat, it just doesn't work like that. There is always fat and muscle gain or loss with calories deficite or surpluss but you can minpulate the ratio by macros. To think having muscles is unnatural is crazy thought to man unless your using steroids and the size of a Bull cow. I for one had muscles as a teenager without lifting so to say im unnatural is wrong. Now as a adult I enjoy lifting weights. Its also a lifestyle just as your vegan hippy which is cool with me.

Ah right I have learned something new, thank you I enjoy learning, I did not realise calories without fat would still store fat. Yeas I do understand it would take a serious amount of fruit and vege to reach 4000 calories. Yeas I have heard that consuming different amounts of protein, carbs and fat will give different results and I have heard of body builders that cut carbs to gain low body fat. I have nothing against people who work out... I have read it can be a form of meditation and that is great for the mind. What I am trying to explain is when you have body builders that weigh 16 stone up that can not be healthy unless they were born to naturally hold that type of weight. I am no hippy friend I am just fully awake, my minds eye is wide open...
