Trump isn't trying to do the best for all regardless of our differences but behind the scenes is complicit with the division of the US through russia

Your comment is very indicative of why their is such division in the first place.

If you take nothing else from me here, just try to understand that the half of the country that voted for Mr Trump felt like the country was divided long before and that Mr Obama ignored our problems and way of life. This half felt like the mostly liberal mass media did not focus on our community's problems.

I'm not going to list out every single reason, because I'm not here to change your political views. But just know that how the progressive crowd feels now, we felt for the past 8 years. You will never agree WHY i feel this way and I'm not asking you to.

But to say that things were fine before is to ignore the point of view of tens of millions of people. Things seem crazier now because you have wall to wall anti trump coverage, students and Hollywood making a scene. In rural America we don't do that. We quietly went to work everyday and talked among ourselves about how bad we viewed the situation.

To just say that Russian Facebook posts and 1 president ruined everything that was great before is very disingenuous. If you can at least accept this as true maybe we have gained an inch on bridging the divide.

america, these days i wonder if i'm in some psycho convention
today we have a mr. nunberg doing a whirlwind tour of the mainstream news circuit
a trump campaign dude, not heard of him, but that's true for a lot of the current goings on
he's talking tough about how he's gonna blow off the subpoena from mueller
he's also saying how he's not going to jail
i just found it funny, guess i'm beginning to fit in to the psycho mood

Jeez he made a joke at a fundraiser. He's gonna do 7 more years and then continue living the good life he's always had. Deal with it.

This thread is 65 pages strong. Some bruises, little blood. This thread also reminds me of a great debate from last years Politicon.

This argument was substantiated before the Russian trolls where sensationalized and presented here in raw data

why don't you stop assuming the data people use to make conclusions and ask what it is

the divide on these forums is mostly based on regurgitated fallacies and opinions

In fact we can make this one of those put your money where your mouth is situations because the ignorance here is THAT bad

Please using your own mind and words find some reasoning you haven't heard from someone else that would validate your perspective and please use some pool of data accessible to all

that is what I base all my arguments on including every argument about organic weed I have made on here

that is a sign of a free mind I suggest you consider the same

your argument like many others here was scripted for you to repeat like a mindless parrot or do you even consider the causation that comes from these baseless opinionated arguments

at some point these mindsets are poisonous and completely unacceptable and unlike being able to say no to smoking substandard weeds it is impossible to say to no substandard citizenship

Jeez he made a joke at a fundraiser. He's gonna do 7 more years and then continue living the good life he's always had. Deal with it.

I've followed Trump for 30 years, he's a self absorbed prick that confuses intelligence with theft and fraudulent business practices. He has no sense of humor, other than berating others with insults and demanding the room laugh at their expense. He lies every time he opens his mouth, like a pimple faced teenager caught out after curfew.

He might be doing 7 more years in an Orange jumpsuit, but neither our country nor the world can handle another term with him at the helm. His twisted and sad manner of leadership, has set our level of civility back decades in time...he's not stable, not intelligent, not a man of integrity.

He made his money from stealing, from banks/contractors/businesses...then claiming bankruptcy repeatably. He thinks the White House is another Trump branded property, and uses it to further financial gains.

He thinks that he's smarter than our justice system, he doesn't even understand the most basic of our laws, rules, system. He's taught his children the same elitist attitude. He's a mean & angry child, that even wealth and beautiful women haven't cured. He has no loyalty to ANYONE, not family/friends/allies/wives.

Now that he alienated us from our friends across the pond, who should he shit on now ?...let's see....yes, he now decides it's time to shit on Canada, those bastages have been pitiful neighbors and allies...both in trade and war time :huggg: Lumber, now steel and alum tariffs ? sure why not, the GOP and every WH advisor said no, no, no Donny you stupid fuck. But Trump says "hey fugg-it, after the big tax cut for the middle class, they can afford the increase in products". He's lonely, angry, isolated, childish, stupid, and scared...he needs attention.

He's a POS, and always has been.

And the ironic thing here is US independent beer brewers use the workplace co-operative economic model which is a form of socialism (worker owned production).

Hey bwana, how many billions you got?

Integrity and character have far more value in regards to reputation, than wealth and arrogance. Considering he refused to show his tax returns, and has substantial debts/loans, why would you assume he's "worth" billions ?

I've been very successful in my life, I've solely owned and sold 7 companies...the last one had 42 employees. All of my money has come from honest work and dealings, I needn't ever look over my shoulder or require a body guard because of theft and fraud. I always stayed aboard during the transition period, to help the new owner flow into a relationship with established customers...I wanted the new owner to succeed, I wanted them to prosper and retain the valuable employees.

I invested my money for my future, and my inevitable retirement...I've "retired" 4 times, I keep getting pulled back into the abyss for some reason. I enjoy the strategy, relationships, challenges that business brings...and have lasting valuable relationships with many people because of it. I have those relationships because of my reputation, nothing means more than my name...that's how I was raised.

Trump doesn't understand these qualities, nor does he care to...he burns bridges because someone else will fill the void...no matter how short the term. He can't even keep his hand picked staff at the White House, they run like rats on a sinking ship. They have no loyalty to him, because he's never shown any to them.

Karma is a friend, or a bitch...it lies in your hands.

Best power rates I ever had came from a rural electric co op.
Southern States Feed used to be decent co op, would imagine it still is.

A HUGE 'BINGO'! and respect.

I've raised all 3 of my kids by the message that the ONLY thing you take with you when you die is your reputation. Telling them that if you enjoyed any degree of public profile at all, there will be plenty of persons who -think- they knew about you, trying to besmirch that reputation when you're gone; don't do anything that helps to fuel those negative flames, as you won't be there to correct any inaccurate records when you're gone, let alone asserting the more accurate accounts.

We tend to value money in this society, beyond integrity and honor. It's turned us into what I refer to as a 'mercenary nation,' willing to do destructive, hypocritical, or soul-sacrificing things for a paycheck, and somehow con ourselves through 'reorganizing our own facts' in order to feel good about it as we delude ourselves into thinking it's all good if it's for greenbacks.

I once took a dog with a broken leg to a vet who did the whole job on credit without knowing me. I'd taken my pup to at least 3 others, all of whom wanted gold, guns, or cash. I was on my way home to shoot him when I came upon the one who helped us. At that time in life, I barely had a full cylinder of cartridges for the ONE handgun I was down to. Bleak times.

Later on I told a friend whose pup needed vaccinated about the same vet, and he helped him on credit too.

I later asked the vet, during one of my pup's follow-up appointments, "Why do you help folks you don't even know, on credit, with nothing down, and no guarantee but for an unwritten (verbal) agreement?"

He replied, (paraphrasing, as it was about 36 years ago) "If your friend doesn't pay me, I'm out $20. I can find $20 all kinds of places. But if your friend doesn't pay me, he's forfeited his reputation for $20, and there's no way he can buy that back for any amount of money."

Integrity and character have far more value in regards to reputation, than wealth and arrogance. Considering he refused to show his tax returns, and has substantial debts/loans, why would you assume he's "worth" billions ?

Bruce Springsteen – The River Lyrics
I come from down in the valley where mister when you're young
They bring you up to do like your daddy done
Me and mary we met in high school when she was just seventeen
Wed ride out of that valley down to where the fields were green

Wed go down to the river
And into the river wed dive
Oh down to the river wed ride

Then I got mary pregnant and man that was all she wrote
And for my nineteen birthday I got a union card and a wedding coat
We went down to the courthouse and the judge put it all to rest
No wedding day smiles no walk down the aisle
No flowers no wedding dress
That night we went down to the river
And into the river wed dive
On down to the river we did ride

I got a job working construction for the johnstown company
But lately there aint been much work on account of the economy
Now all them things that seemed so important
Well mister they vanished right into the air
Now I just act like I don't remember, mary acts like she don't care
But I remember us riding in my brothers car
Her body tan and wet down at the reservoir
At night on them banks I'd lie awake
And pull her close just to feel each breath she'd take
Now those memories come back to haunt me, they haunt me like a curse
Is a dream a lie if it don't come true
Or is it something worse that sends me
Down to the river though I know the river is dry
Down to the river, my baby and i
Oh down to the river we ride

And the ironic thing here is US independent beer brewers use the workplace co-operative economic model which is a form of socialism (worker owned production).

The definition of socialism is government ownership of all means of production. It's a transition between capitalism and communism. According to Mirriam Webster dictionary.

The difference in a co-op is that you are not compelled by force to participate. Force that is responsible for 100 million civilian deaths during the 1900s.

I find it interesting that you constantly claim there is no socialism, except when you claim American institutions are socialist. You can't have it both ways.
