Does fog penetrate a root mass?

Some people have hybrid hydro/aero systems, perhaps having a fogger on the roots along with a dripper on top of each plant.

How effective is aeroponics (just FOG) alone? In the early stages it's GREAT but what about later on as the plant matures? I would imagine that the root mass becomes thick and I can't see the fog penetrating it deep enough.

We will find out, so far no problems with the fog penetrating the root mass. Here is some fogger roots in a micro setup.. Stop by my thread if you want to see more pics of a fog grow.

Nice root porn there Aerohead.

And !!!, fog has no problem penertrating root mass. Besides, typically there is room between the root mass and top of the tray.
