What is Google SketchUp?
Google Sketchup is a powerful yet easy-to-learn 3D software tool.
After seeing several members stumbling upon Google SketchUp and discovering how useful it really is inspired me to give it a shot and experience the same. After playing around with it one night I realized just how useful it could be if the members could share their designs with each other, allowing others to get a full 3d view of a project with the capability of being 100% accurate.

The hardware and software requirements for SketchUp.
PC:
* Windows 2000/XP (works for me with Vista)
* 600 MHz Pentium III processor
* 128 MB RAM
* Graphics card that is OpenGL compliant (make sure you have the latest graphics driver for your card*)

* 400 MHz PowerPC™ G4

How can I share my creations with the ICMag community?
This is a question I have given much thought, due to the nature of this website many users are weary of outside links, the only current solution would be to use the Google 3D Warehouse to host the files.
In the future I hope to provide a secure database that will allow the Sketchup files but until then this is all we have.
Uploading your model to 3D Warehouse.
You have two options when it comes to getting your model into the warehouse, you can create a new account and upload the files to it yourself, or you can email
the file to an account I have setup and I will have it uploaded for you. With both options please make sure
you are using a new/secure account or email with NO personal info tied to it.
-Creating Account and Uploading:

Once you have finished the model you can share it within the sketchup program yourself.
After the file has been successfully uploaded you can link to it directly by viewing "My Models" and clicking the title,the link should be similar to this:
"http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
-Emailing file:
If you decide to email the file to the account I have setup, send it to icmags@gmail.com and please include
the following information:
Title: (A short title describing your model)
Description
You can be as elaborate or simple here as you like. Dimensions, materials, ect are all useful)
All files sent to this email will be uploaded to:
