As the title says I am a new grower.bought tent light and seeds at weekend.
I have a homebox tent 4 x 4 & 400watt hps light.seeds were recomeded by
The hydro shop said they were good and his best seller.DNA genetics holy grail kush they are soaking in water the now.so I can't wait to try this growing out

Thanks Harry All the Seeds have cracked except one.
Just about to put them into 1ltr pots filled with canna
Terra pro.and I am going to add some perlite

Look for a small pheno type that may seem stunted . Grows short and slow . It's actually a gem pheno type . I lost the one I had :/ good luck

That sounds great.

My first grow was in a sealed room (no ventilation) in a closet in an apartment.

My 400 watt ballast had a real hum, 60 Hz.

My neighbor could hear it. I remember him commenting.

400watt or 600watt metal halide for veg

400watt or 600watt metal halide for veg

Hi there I am looking to buy a metal halide for 4 x 4 grow tent.would 600watt metal halide be over kill.or should I get 400watt...Tab Bg4l

600 is good for a 4x4 I wouldn't use less unless I wasn't filling it. Some people put 1000 over a 4x4 to me those are for 5x5.

Really it's up to you but in my mind 400 fit a 3z3 well, 600 for a 4x4 and thousands for 5x5 or large multi light grows though my preferable is always 600 hps and 4x4 myself

400 be way too small for that tent.

600 all the way

I recently went through the same landlord issues. It's all good dude you'll be back up and running, no doubt. I've grown Kosher Kush from clone and it was amazing. You won't be disappointed.
