once you get a 3D printer forget time for other stuff
your constantly thinking of things to print
or like me designing my own parts for projects for Astronomy or Radio
I designed and print the parts for these antenna's to receive images from weather sats like the US Noaa and Russian Meteor M2

I can imagine that. Very cool technology. I see it kind of like VR tech, it seems like if you buy one now there is a much better model right around the corner. Is that wrong?

this is so cool man! would you mind sharing how its done
what programs do you use to create your models (do you use wire frames to generate the 3d rendition?)
the lamp shade looks really neat, how did you import the image file into the printer?
can you tweak the values to get brighter and darker places by varying the thickness of the material?
those carvings are rad, like the t-rex skull
how did you make that? can you print in different colors on the same piece
like someone else said, agent pothead has some neat 3d printed stuff too and i hope he stops by
sorry if im asking all kinds of noob questions, i really have no idea of what its all about but i tihnk its cool1

for my own designs I use a Cad package to create the model then export it to the printer

for ones like the Skulls there are free files available to download from the internet like this one

https://www.thingiverse.com/

the lampshades are done via a website where you link the pictures and set the sizes etc then download it to be printed (see link)

https://lithophanemaker.com/index.html

yes you can change colour mid print at specific layers

hope thats of help

thanks for the links!
what cad program do you use?
ive seen a few and some have a steep learning curve
/im an advanced user of adobe products (photoshop/ illustrator/ in design) but the engineers i work with use a different suite of software

personally I use a free cad program called Design spark from RS electronics
I've used it for years for designing electrical components so I am familiar with it

You should start making clips to mount small oscillating fans onto grow tent poles. Vivosun is the only company that has them currently but the actual fans are garbage.
