Malawi mold resistance outdoors

With the big fat flowers it produces... it's quite easy to find mold if it rains. Especially in the top bud. If there's no rain, no mold despite the humidity.

Thanks for replying. Did you notice any phenos that produce less compact flowers that would be more mold resistant if it rains?

Hi Irotas,

Yes, as stated in the strain description, Malawi's powder mildew resistance is not the best so in case this is a recurrent problem in your area then it's important to take preventive actions like spraying with sulfur in late veg/very early flowering stretching before the plants start to really flower.

Regarding botrytis resistance, Malawi regular is quite resistant, Old Malawi Killer phenos from fem version too, super high yielding New Malawi Killer phenos from fem version is the most sensible against botrytis due to their massive and very dense flowers.

Hope it helps.
