Aqueous, as well as gaseous, smoke can also enhance seedling germination and emergence. Greenhouse tests on seeds and on wild seedbanks support this trend, but field trials of aqueous smoke remain inconclusive. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liquid_smoke
