So I learned some things from my last grow about humidity, VPD, temperature, training, nutrients, and watering. This grow I'll be using drip irrigation system on a timer to eventually water 6x a day from 10 gallon reservoir(drink cooler) with an aquarium bubbler and pump. I'll be starting the seed directly in the medium with clay pebbles on top to reduce evaporation. Temp(78-86 f) and RH(70-80%) choices are based on VPD chart that I can post later so the wide choice in RH based on heat in the tent.

Had some initial issues with my hygrometers dying, ph pen being inaccurate, and trying to warm my reservoir water(found an aquarium heater). For whatever reason, I was paranoid, after I had buffered the coco it refused to dry out which I stood before the seeds had arrived.. I was going to do the Lucas formula but I was low on micro and bloom and Maxibloom was cheaper. Last, I bought a WiFi camera because I like checking my plants frequently and I would do less damage with the camera.

Seeds were ordered from the Original Seed Store and came with Barney's Farm Critical Peyote and Fast Seeds Super Champagne Auto.

Round 1 - Northern Lights Auto in Coco DTW

I'll be doing Northern Lights in 2 gallon smart pots with coco. Aiming for watering 3xDay by the end of week two. Two drip lines per pot. Pre charged coco at 375ppm with initial ph of 7.1 and ph downed to 5.9. The goal is 10oz. Just germinated and kudos to Original Sensible Seed Store four the stealth packaging and 8 business day delivery time to the Midwest.

This is up to day 4. Temp stays between 81-84, humidity between 72-79%. I started watering once a day to 20% and today I switched to 4x a day @600ppm and a 6.0ph. I saw another grower that increases to 4x a day by day 4 and saw a faster growth rate by day 7 so I'll try it.

Those clip fans are only good at the top of the tent to keep the air moving up there, for which they're perfect, one in each corner "circulating" stylee full on

The box fan has got 2" bigger .... You want 12" oscillating fans on 24/7 once the plants can take it, on setting 2 of 3 at least

If you can't see all the leaves moving then that's where botrytis will strike first

Just read you've got a freebie Peyote Critical ....that's the one to concentrate on, germinate it now to see if it's like rest of the freebies and a dud, hopefully it's not and you then are 1/2 way to a keeper

Lol I thought it was 18". I have the box fan set blowing against the wall and it seems pretty windy all throughout. I have towels hanging for humidity at the top that are blowing in the wind. I'll take your word for it though thanks.

I'm saving the peyote critical until I get a room for mothers, in hot in a rush as I have California kush, kush, cheese, afghan mass, and sweet soma to grow before I start doing photos again.

I think they are looking pretty good to be a week old. I lowered the ppm a bit. Had to throw the heater in my res to warm it up a bit.

Day 15
70-75% RH
79-83f
1110 ppm x 6
6.1 ph

Finally two weeks in and just in time my humidity controller arrived. They are just about touching the edges of the pots on all sides. I increased the feed to full strength MaxiBloom/RapidStart/Floralicious+ and their green deepened in color and growth increased a bit. I'm thinking I was under feeding them.

Lots of growth happening in between the nodes and the stems are thickening. I wanted to LST but they are short and looking to be bushy. Overall for my second grow ever this is turning out amazingly well. Going for 10oz but I've been told 16oz is possible.

Thanks to anyone that has been following.

Day 22
70-75% RH
75-79f
1500 ppm x 8
6.2 ph

They are now being fed full strength MaxiBloom and CaliMagic. Just switched my reservoir to a 35 gallon tote and found the best light distance to be 16". No signs of issues but I think I'll stay at 6.2 ph until the end. The NL2 is going to need more defoliation with its broad fan leaves. I was expecting nute burn at some point but thankfully it didn't happen even at 1500 ppms.

Day 29
70-75% RH
84-88f
1300 ppm x 8
6.2 ph

I've been gradually allowing my ph to rise to 6.2 where I'll keep it the rest of the grow so I'm there. I think NL1 has begun to stretch and it's still making pre flowers. NL2 has no pre flowers and no problems. Defoliated a bit especially side branches that weren't making it to the top and miscellaneous fan leaves growing towards the bottom of the stems. I switched NL2 back to directly under the bulb side and it's growth is looking better. I wish they would stretch at the same time.

Day 39
68-72% RH
81-84f
1500 ppm x 8 x 2 minutes
6.2 ph

They are drinking heavily to where my multi feeds for one minute had let the coco dry out. I had seen some leaves start getting something looking like nute burn and I hadn't gotten really any runoff inn a few days. Came home and had to let the drip go for ten minutes(wasn't any runoff for 9 minutes) to saturate the coco again. Bumped the feed time up to two minutes but even then I'm not getting a whole lot of runoff.

NL2 was put on a box tho match NL1 height by about six inches. For the last time I gently super cropped everything just crushing the hurd rather than splitting the stems like last time. Both have started stretching but NL2 is bushy and suffered either ph or light issues slightly that discolored some leaves so I raised the light. Pistils are forming rapidly and the stretch has been noticeable.

Day 41
62-67% RH
77-79f
1260 ppm x 8 x 2 minutes
6.0 ph

Res got down from 15 gallons to 3 yesterday(filled last Sunday) and I had a ph swing at 6.7. Color on some leaves was dark and weird looking but I made a fresh res with full strength KoolBloom and eased up on the MaxiBloom for a 1260 ppm and a 6.0 ph. Bathroom pics cause I know pics under the hps look bad. There are 40ish bud sites per plant at the moment and I'm guessing NL1 is more of a sativa leaning while NL2 is more indica dominant.

The light is sitting at 18" and it seems like the stretch is over. Still not getting much runoff when watering for two minutes x 8 but they drank 12ish gallons in less than a week.

Day 42 - 6 weeks in!
64-67% RH
75-79f
1260 ppm x 8 x 2 minutes
6.0 ph

I defoliated both removing all the fan leaves from the outside and and blocking bud sites. I'm pretty sure NL1 is done stretching since it started pre flowering ten days earlier. NL2 is still stretching a bit and I pulled several side branches inside the canopy that weren't getting enough light. The screen I accidentally super cropped on NL1 is healing up fine and might be completely fixed next week.

Six or more weeks to go. Excited to run the sweet soma and cheese strains in Growpito's Sim mix using DTW with hopefully 560w of quantum boards instead of this MH/HPS.

WIFI cam shot.
