My Grow setup

I am in the process of ordering parts for a grow, I have limited space so am going for a 60cmx60cmx160cm tent.
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HYDROPO...-HPS-GROW-LiGHT/132945356972?var=432244902585

With the following LED light;
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/PHYTOMA...-GROW-TENTS-ROOMS-GROWING-PLANTS/112449465346
It's a bit overkill for such a small tent but it should mean nice solid buds all the way to the bottom of the plant.

With the following exhaust fan and carbon filter;
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ezyflow...-Kit-Controller/292972474743?var=591764131581

With the following speed controller;
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SMSCOM-...STAT-FANS-SPEED-CONTROLLING-UNIT/123257386468

With the following DWC setup;
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/16L-27L...RE-INDOOR-PLANT/283061939959?var=583454353860
The 27 liter one.

With the following temp humidity sensor;
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LCD-Dig...r-Outdoor-Temperature-Humidity-A/382797682925

With the following EC/TDS pen;
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/3in1-Di...-Meter-Pen-Stick-PPM-Monitor-HOT/152174328412

Should be a good setup for growing 1 plant indoor.
:smoke out:
:watchplant:

Good setup but I warn you, that light is an intense ripoff. On aliexpress you can get 400w of Citizen COBs US$400 which will blow that purple clown factory spectrum right out of the water. For that $ you can buy much more than the pathetic 641 μmol/s which these scammers deliver. (google μmol/s or μmol/j and leds and learn about it before you buy a LED. Also PAR/PPFD)
Hell for the cost of that light alone I could set up another grow, outperform it, and still have money left over! It's THAT big of a scam!

It's been at least three good years since the cob revolution and two years since the QB evolution and it goes the same way... certain white leds are the best photon production tech for the electric input. Period.
These certain models are cree cxb cobs, bridgelux vero cobs, citizen cobs, samsung smd... and that's pretty much it. If a fixture has these parts, it will almost certainly make much more and better spectrum light than any hps light.
If a fixture has other led parts, it will most certainly be in the same or similar league as a regular hps, from the light output per watt point of view.

Anything else is mostly unrelated business people nonsense talk to make you believe one product is much better than any other brand/product.

Basics comes first, remember that.

Cheers

yeah, anything blurple is old tech for the most part...COBS and quantum boards are the new tech winning the game now...

just as an example,,and to support new vendor,,the Marshydro COB and TS 1000 quantum are examples of the tech on the front lines.....

That LED light uses white LED's not blurple, it includes UV and IR.

I need a pre-built light not a kit, any links to where I can buy a better light would be appreciated.

I got the speed controller for $247.50, the seller accepted my offer of $250 and I used a discount code for another $12.50 off, that's a saving of $41.50. :woohoo:

Gah, just found out it is going to cost another $240 for delivery of the LED light so it's now $1640 before GST, well my decarboxyllator got through without GST so hopefully this will too.

^^ lol tell us about it..

What is your budget for a light?

I would also say that rig is terribly overpriced and the "full spectrum" thing is a bit of a joke sales pitch tbh. Mostly because the uv diodes they use are in the wrong wavelength to have the energy needed to activate those epigenetics. It just sounds good and people have mostly, caught up with the research and, figured out that blurple doesnt work as well as white + blue/red supp.

My budget is about $1700, I am just waiting for the light to arrive.

That light is white with blue and red supplement.

Got the LED light today, boy is it a monster, it's gonna be a 2 person job to install it, I need to get an Australian plug for it but that is only $11, no GST was paid so the total cost is about $1660.

Got the Australian power cord for the LED light, got the EC/TDS meter, still waiting on the hose clamps for the air ducting, the scrog net was returned to the seller damaged, they gave me a refund, now I have to wait until payday to order another but it will be about 90 cents cheaper.

Got the hose clamp today, finished installing the exhaust fan.

Installed the LED light today, the ratchet hangers won't support the weight so I had to set the height by tying to the tent frame, it hangs a little lower than I want, lost 150-200mm of grow height.

Just need to set up the RDWC and I'm in business.

Will be growing Bruce Banner, highest THC content (32%), grew some outdoor this year and it smokes up a treat. :biggrin:

Managed to hoist the LED light up about 200mm to maximum height, it's gonna have to stay there for the whole grow but I've got 105W per square foot so it should be fine.

Gotta get some clear plastic tubing for a water level indicator on the DWC.
