Photosynthetic microbes???

I was just given a sample of some photosynthetic microbes to be foliar sprayed on plants.

Anyone have any experience with photosnythetic microbes?

The web site says

Photosynthesis Plus

All Natural

What it is:

The culture consortium produced by Ecological Laboratories, Inc. that is used on tens of thousands of acres of crops worldwide is the foundation for our Photosynthesis Plus, a complete ecosystem in the bottle. The proprietary formulation and culture growth enhances product performance via selective adaptation, resulting in superior performance in aerobic, facultative, anaerobic and anoxic environments. Shelf stable for two years.

What it does:

Enhances plant functions at the foliar level and the root zone in both soil and soilless substrates. Enhances photosynthesis and biological function by allowing plants to capture and utilize radiant energy more efficiently. Speeds uptake and distribution of essential macro- and micro- nutrients required for all plant metabolic functions and growth. Promotes plant vigor and reduces input costs while increasing yields.

Use in addition to ALL nutrient and fertilizer programs for maximum yields. May be used for indoor and outdoor use with all hydroponic, NFT, drip systems, aeroponic, irrigation and liquid feeding systems, with all soilless media, including Coco Coir. Compatible with all fertilizer programs. Always check pH and CF levels.

Seems like its claiming to use foliar applied bacterium that are capable of more photosynthesis than the leaves.

But why would we want bacteria sucking down the co2 before the plant can?

It also can be used in the media, which made more sense to me with the way I understand microbes, but I already had some microbial innoculant...

What i dont get is those foliar spraying... bacteries over plant tissue is not good,
its a medium for them and they will destroy plant from mine experience..

lacto bacteries are ok to spray over plants but Bacillus subtilis and other are for
root zone not for spraying on a plant as they will start to consume plant matter..

this product will be better as drench than sprayed over plants,IMO..

Under photosynthetic bacteries they think your photosynthesis will be better,stronger.. not like there is
photosynthetic bacteries for real..

Also what are benefits of spraying mycorhiza over branches and leafes..??

Mine answer will be there is no one.. mycos we apply in a root zone..

I know i've heard people say that foliar microbes can help ward off the bad pests. Powdery mildew, root rot, some bugs. I dunno how true that is.. I use photosynthesis plus in my foliar, I also got a bunch of free bottles. My plants seemed to look happier after spraying it but thats not really any proof of anything.

Indeed, there are photosynthetic bacteria although not in that bottle ;) .
See Wikipedia.
Said bacteria usually don't like oxygen and hence aren't suitable for hydro and even less for foliar applications but may be used for brewing teas for foliar sprays.
