In early 90ies friend broughts something that even today i cant found,
not even in picture to compare... it was 20-25 cm long budz glazed in resin,
whithouth scissors you was not possible to crumble or made joint..

but first you cutted a stripes from bud and later cutt in small peaces or little chunks
mixed with tobacco, one small pin joint and 6-7 people goes mayhem from laughs
almost unstoppable, abs hurting another day from so much laughing and having
a great time in social gathering..

asked friend later but never found what was strain name.. there was no ceiling,
not much body couchlock and so much funny, humoristic weed..
Every joint was same effects and like there was hard to achive any tolerance..

Thai back in the late sixties a pinner would get five people wasted

Shame i could not have tried it then! When i did smoke Thai in the 80's it stayed in my memory as being one of the best ever.

Also had oil that was made from B grade Thai and it was the most clear and lucid experience, spent three hours on a train and thought i was in paradise, a world of colour and sound that i had never experienced before.

Maybe you older heads know if some Hawaiian had Thai in its makeup? Had some from a small private batch nearly 30 year ago which had alot of Thai character i thought, flavour was very different tho.

A friend who was a mid-level manager in Silicon Valley, real smart guy who never got a degree, worked his way up.

Had good connections in NorCal, gave me a film cannister with about a 5 year seed collection. (early 90's)

I've never seen anything better, but Vic High @ BCGA was comparable with crosses like Chemo x C99.

I'm glad people are crossing and breeding like crazy. But I have a feeling that for pure indicas & sativas, some shepherd in the Mid-East to Far East, maybe even Jesus when he walked from Palestine to India and back during his 20's, came across Indica plants what were incomparable & unbeatable.

And that Shamans in Southeast Asia and Colombia etc. found similarly potent Sativas.

Of course then guys like Gypsy helped facilitate the crossing of those strains and, the bottom line is, almost everything I smoked was an Indica-Sativa cross.

Can't say there is a best but there is a favorite...

For me it's Thai and varieties crossed to Thai.

The best? Still looking.... The highest I have been was in '75. Some Mexican pot I would assume from people I never met before or saw again.

Body melted into the surroundings. The world became a magical place for around 20 to 30 minutes. Trees and plants appeared to be made of shiny plastic and people were magical almost glowing creatures. I assumed I would find stuff equal or better in Colombian or the better imports, never did.

Chocolate Thai
Highland Thai

Whatever is in Blueberry lines.
Whatever is in the Colorado Juicy Fruit cut floating around the State.

Luang Prabang from GN collection.

Thai, as a whole, has been good to me in the past.

blackbart,....

thai is interesting,
however I thought that weed in general
has been getting up to 300% stronger since the 60's and 70s...

so for a pinner to be that potent, back in the 60s....is some weed
imagine the potency of that strain, today....if it has survived cultivation

im not saying I doubt you, im just saying that be some kick ash stuff
back in the day and even today....lol

I think there is thread here about the piff or uptown haze. I used to get it in Burlington Vermont while working on bridge crews. It was a soaring euphoric high lasted about 3 hours very mercyne dominated flavor. Almost like a low dose of fungi.
