Special thanks to all the angels

I have become aware of a growing movement of medical marijuana advocates not only on this forum and others but also in the "real" world. There are people who grow and share, or spread the message and also the breeders trying to create new helpful strains. Some people would be cynical and say they are just stoners who want to make pot legal or turn a profit, but I know there's more to it than that. People are risking a lot to help others who need it and it's an unfair battle. I think that times really are a'changin'. The people are voting consistently for med. MJ when they get a chance and soon the war will be won.

Thank you everyone out there for any little part you have done.

peace,
medicine man

There are a lot of people out there trying to "do the right thing" and there's a lot of people out there trying to stop them. I spent nearly three years suffering from RSD and taking hugh doses of anything from Morphine to Methadone to Diluadid. When I first started MJ it was actually by force. Some asshole broke into my truck while returning from a short trip and stole my bags. My pain meds were in my bags. I couldn't get it replaced over the weekend so I finally took a friends advice and tried some of her home grown wonders. I was amazed at how much things had changed since I last partook. I was also taken abck by how effect it was with the pain and how few the side effects were compared with the "legal" meds. Now I live in a state where you can get a card and grow some plants legally if your doc will sign off. However when I first approached my a doc. He wouldn't have any part of it. I told him I thought the MJ did a better job with the pain. His response- I'll give you higher doses and more of the other pain killers. Never mind the ill side effects i.e. complete listlessness, no sex drive etc... So for a while I just winged it. Then I found a doc. who would sign off on the card. I'm now working on growing my allotted number of plants and have several fellow RSD suffers out of state that like to watch for thier Fed-Ex guy once a month.

yes

patients healing with hemp are slowly becoming more and more accepted within mainstream american society.

however
i see what we have been given recently as no more than another example of the big-govt doing little more than to quiet the masses.
we have not been "helped" by new laws, we have only been locked in a bigger cage.
there's more legroom now, but we remain without many of our god-given rights.

becoming "accepted" in a society you have called home your entire life is quite an odd concept.
i am not a foreigner, i am not an alien.
yet am i somehow different from any other american?
i do not feel different, i do not understand what "makes" me different.

i do what i do because it's what a person like me has to do.
if the laws in california changed tomorrow and all of a sudden there was no medical exemption whatsoever
i'd still be walking around town with a fatty halfway falling from my lips.

i did not follow unjust laws and rulings before s-b420,
abd i shall continue to disobey cruel mandates.

fuck

when i'm feeling this sick
ain't nothing gonna scare me
ain't nothing gonna change my clothes.

what's more threatening than federal prison? having to eat breakfast again.

Back in 1969...

At that time I was about 16 yrs old and a pot head. :)

I predicted that pot would be legal in 5 years or so. I was wrong but I hope to live to see the day. When I am in Amsterdam the world seems different. Normal.

The medical mari movement has been the greatest contributor to the progress made to date and I agree that we need to work hard for medical rights now.

Most Dr.'s just need to be convinced a medicine really works without too many bad side effects. Then they will prescribe it and if your Doc won't then say adios amigo and find another doc. ;)

Stay safe but fight the fight... BOG

The problem with saying see ya to the doc, at least in my case, that doctor is tied to my health ins. and my retirement. So all the main stream is basically tied together. Hey this living in a cave in the Rockies is sounding better all the time;)

But I agree with ya Bog- Sometimes though it's just not that easy.

Say whens that Sour Bubble gonna hit the market? I just started a batch of Shiskaberry and as soon as their into followering I'll be looking to have another strain "bring up the rear" I'm looking to try several strains so bring on that SB!

Shipping

Shipping

While I don't feel I'm able to discuss here all the methods I use to ship out packages to my fellow RSD suffers let me say this:

I've found that a vacuum sealer from Costco goes a long way to securing the package from odor "leaks" I've even gone as far as to run it through the dishwasher after sealing it up. Though I could notice no difference before or after doing this.

I beleive using services such as Fed-Ex or UPS might be a better way to go since sending illegal items through the federal mail system is a a federal crime.

And being stealth would go without saying.

Now I haven't had any actual "harvests" yet so I'm still obtianing bud from local Medical Mj clubs and disp. (not F'ing cheap) and I must say I've notice that vacuum packing has compressed the buds quite a bit. Does anyone know if this does any serious harm to the bud? Bog?

Pacridge... Bag those buds in a ziplok first with some air in it to make it "puffy" and then vac seal it. That way they will not compress.

Maistre- Thanks, You'd think I'd be able to think of something that simply myself. What was I smoking? Oh Ya, never mind.

Appreciate the advice. I'll see how well it works next week or so. I also thought about putingit in a tube of some sort but since you're paying by weight for shipping I was trying to keep down the sost and size of the package. Of course if they don't get their meds any cash saved is all for not.

I guess I don't know for sure, but Fed-ex as been working fine for me. I mean they'd have to have a reason to want to open your package. Right? They're in the business of taking one thing from one place to another. The Feds who are in lots of businesses, including looking for drugs and weapons, also run the the post office. I was concerned the post office might be more likely to use dogs of other "sniffing" devices to single out packages for inspection. I could be completely wrong on that, I just don't know.
