folks that complain about govt over-reach during Obamas terms are either willfully ignorant, are bald-faced lying apologists for their fave party, or were born during his time in office and have had nothing to compare it to. BOTH PARTIES have been fucking us for over 40 damn years! quit yer bitching about Obama, it makes you look silly as hell. and no, i'm not a Democrat & did not vote for Obama either time.

The whole long drawn out thing was because he used the company blackberry to make disparaging comments about candidate trump to his girlfriend. He had the power to cost trump the election if he was really malicious.
They just offered amnesty to 5 people to testify on Manifort. They're moving up the ladder.

Or they may simply be paying attention to the acceleration of that over-reach due to the advancement of technology, and facilitated by wonderful legislation like the Patriot Act. If you think that being screwed by the political parties is restricted to the last 40 years, you'd better do a little more research, and I'd be willing to bet that they reason that you didn't vote for Obama was simply because you didn't vote. I'm also reasonably certain that if the same over-reach is discovered at the end of Trump's term that you won't be counseling similar advice.

nice try, but wrong, more than once. it was only the last 40 or so that i was paying attention to it. living through Nixon will do that to you. you lost THAT bet; i ALWAYS vote, even if only for the lesser of two evils. sometimes that means casting a vote for a proven loser. i won't be bitching about Trump at the end of his term because i will be ecstatic if he has not gotten us into a war with our former allies/friends. plus, it did not start with HIM, either... he is just the latest bald-headed asshat to keep doing it after saying how terrible it was as a candidate.
well Zeez...you will have to settle for "helpful" since the website won't let me give you anything else. apparently, i have given you too much +rep lately, & they insist i give some out elsewhere. sometimes it takes DAYS before they relent & give me free choice on what i think is "worthy"...
the Kurds are recent arrivals to Syria, they were taken in as refugees when they fled other places, historically the Kurdish people were a nomadic people, they used to move around in that whole area. for them to now lay claim to some 25% of Syrias oil and gas is ridiculous. they represent about 6% of the Syrian population, no way can they expect to keep what the US helped them occupy. if the Kurds see reason, they will do ok, Syrian government has said they are ok with Kurdish autonomy in traditional kurdish areas. but that most certainly is not and never was the whole Syrian north.
it's already being reported that the Kurds are making contacts with Damascus in preparation for direct negotiations. Syria has never abused it's Kurds like Iraq andthe Turks did, as long as their leaders are not too greedy, they will be fine. but they will not be able to keep the whole north, thats for sure, Syria needs those resources to rebuild the whole nation.
