8 small pumps or 1 biggy

Someone here said less heat running open bore pipe no restrictions per plants and a small pumps each would deliver less heat then 1 big one.


So 8 500lph pumps over a 4000lph on a manifold i cant see it... but really

Does the pump need to be in the reservoir???

Not really... ish I keep it in as I'm not able to have a top up res not enough room.

Plus it cools the pump was told it will prolong its life and stop risks of overheating .



So I put it in the res and run a bloody 600quid chiller.

Any submersible pump will add heat to your reservoir. Higher the wattage of the pump the more heat produced. External pumps do not add hest to the water but are usually more expensive than submersible.

Having 1 of 8 pumps fail is better than having 1 fail alone.
