To be fair there were a few places such as Russia, Ukraine, Hungry, Turkey, and Brazil which seemed pleased.

Hello all,

Lets see what the new year brings with regard the economy...cant blame it all on Joe, there where and still are impacts of covid...material shortages trickle up (or down depend on your POV), hence ships backed up in harbors...lack of truck drivers, slow vax response, still, unemployment went down despite labor shortages(which we can discuss), low but still positive new jobs report, and as recently, a drop in new infections and increase in vaxxes. Fuel prices are dictated by world markets..not Joe...our oil prices are up due to supply and demand methodologies (remember those)..our supply is what is was last year, except, among other things, is on track. And no, the KPL was not supplying our needs nor would it have...it was primarily for pumping extremely environmentally toxic Canadian tar oil sand to the gulf for export.

The border...yes, this is an extreme issue. I am not happy about that...I was not happy about it under tRump. And congress needs to act with regard to the border (that has been being said for decades).

We say, come in legally...my grandparents came here legally...well, true that may be, it was in a time when all you needed was to be tuberculous free and not have lice. So there is that.

I do not like the situation, but people are going to do what they do. I can and do empathize with their plight. I speak of the majority that re leaving crime and squaller for a better life.

And since I am ranting, I do believe I have read that studies have shown that immigrants are proportionally less criminal...makes sense really.

Minds_I... "proportionally less criminal". yes, it does make sense. immigrant/refugee can be sent back to the "shit-hole" country they just escaped from...probably the worst that could happen to them.
