Well you know it is grown in the Colombian mountains. But it's a AAA tropical variety

that came out better than expected. Here's the Samora that takes a back seat to anything. Rich creamy favors and bright uplifting hit. This one was grown here near the house in a container but is a rider favorite.

So the other day, I go to a cannabis event and I'm not a fan of such affairs due to the commercialization factor. But this was my neighbors event and for the first time since I've gone to these events I had some of my flowers. This was a "tasting" no competition or silly cup farce, just a group of local growers. It was my buddies first time hosting such an event and I was impressed with presentation. There was a chief (also one of the best growers) and a bar however I couldn't eat or drink due to an x-ray appointment the next day. Samples of flower and extracts made and labeled for a very casual evaluation. Most of the growers young but most grow outdoors and the quality was high. Lot's of nice hybrids and crazy potent fresh frozen live rosin. Really nice almost intimate feel to the day finishing with a kick ass bonfire 🔥. Despite not being able to I really enjoyed it and looking forward to the next one.

It was nice to show these guys my humble sativa offerings. I felt genuine appreciation for the real old school sativa even though it wasn't nearly as strong as other samples. But overall I think the this was a great first event and the beginning of something fantastic.

Well this was a private party so the guest list was very selective. In fact a few of the participants you know. JC and the guy that had that crazy Ethiopian and the chef/ rapper. The samples were top shelf mostly hybrids but we had one killer RD (Red Death) sativa from greenieshouse. There was only one sample that didn't impress me and the grower told me it was weak. Same guy brought fresh frozen live rosin that was incredible,so he was rectified. Everyone seemed to like the Djamba but I didn't submit any Wiley (limited supply) or the Muisca. Everything was good especially the setting, wasn't crowded or uncomfortable, perfect for smoking and conversing. The good vibe along with a environment makes the cannabis experience so much better.
But I'm hoping for another taste off there and with a few adjustments could be the best event in Colombia.

Yes it was a great time, I'll see if I can post some pictures of the actual event.

This is PHO (propane hash oil) and normally I don't use much solvent extracts. But this was made in a lab and purged perfectly. Made from hybrid flower that works well.

This was grown in my greenhouse but the genetics come from the breeders at greenieshouse. Slugs almost ate this plant but it still managed to produce incredible flower. This cross is of interest to me as I pollenated it with the last Michoacán x Oaxaca.

This is one of two very rare Red Snake bx that I'm hoping to reproduce this year. We made this cross in Bogota 2016 and only a few seeds survived.

And pairing with the finest mountain grown coffee in the world.

It's all smoke and mirrors but sometimes I get lucky 😁
We had months of very little rain (El niño) but nice steady rain since Friday. Everything is getting green again and water tanks are slowly refilling. Of course with the rains comes the humidity. When it's dry my plants in general dry in about 5 days now with the high RH can take up to two weeks. But the good news is we finally got some rain.

This was my last and only plant of this rare cross. The mother a pink pistillate Michoacán, the father a spicy Oaxacan. There were very few seeds from this cross made over nine years ago (in Bogota) and only this male survived. I could have taken clones and tried to reverse it, but I didn't.

So I saved pollen and outcrossed it. At the moment I pollenated a couple of my neighbors females I've got in my greenhouse. These are top shelf genetics from the owner/breeder of greenieshouse right next door to me. Durban x Red Death is one of the crosses I'm excited about pollenating.

I like the Durban x RD although it's super strong but the taste and quality of the effect is epic.

Everyone loves the Djamba so I'm going to start more later this year to finish around December. I like the Djamba but compared to what most people grow/smoke here it's moderate potantcy. However it's so unique and everyone is crazy for sativa even here.
The owners of the finca will be returning in July and I don't particularly want to live with them so I've got to be creative to keep the train rolling.

Some pictures from the event last week. That's the "Old cheese" grower, really nice guy who's also a chef.
IMG-20240421-WA0016.jpg

Some of the samples (I'm still smoking on them) of the flowers. There was also several concentrate samples.
IMG-20240421-WA0010.jpg

There were great prizes and gift packages but I just came for the bud. That guy in the picture made some really nice PHO and his flower was top shelf.

Here we are receiving the samples, it was a little overwhelming cause so much going on. It was a great time talking with the growers and trying their best stuff. I couldn't eat that day but the gracious host had saved some for me the next day. Really looking forward to the next one and other events at greenieshouse.
