Mom calls police on son for smoking marijuana

HOUMA — A 37-year-old woman called police Sunday to report her son smoking marijuana in her driveway.

Houma Police arrived at her Naquin Street home at 12:05 a.m. and found her 16-year-old son outside the house with three other teenagers. The 16-year-old was allegedly carrying a bag of the marijuana in his hand and the drug's odor clung to the air.

He was charged with possession of marijuana and violating curfew.

The three other teenagers were charged with violating curfew. Each of them were give court dates and released to their parents.

I understand he is underage, so concern is appropriate, but calling the fuzz on your kid. I'm sure she doesn't know how negatively this will affect his life. Much more so than that bag of pot ever could have.

She did the best thing for her son possible calling the cops on him and getting him in more trouble no scholarship possibilities at all unless she's also going to pay for getting it taken for his record. If mother ever did some shit like that she wouldn't have to worry about me calling her mother again I'd act like the wind was speaking to me.

This kid back in high school had 4 plants under cfls under his sink. his mom finds them and calls the cops but they don't charge him just took the plants. Lucky dude

my grandma knew I was doing it, but she would never call the cops on me, even when I was tweaked out of my head she just wanted me to get help, but i'm stubborn I have to figure things out for myself

well as i have always said " a mothers love is psychotic at best".

so no college huh? i guess it would be ok with the mother if he stays at home all his life and mooches off of her the rest of his days. kinda like one of the characters from stepbrother.

but then again, it begs to question why would a mother think/ deem it necessary to call the cops on their own child? obviously there is something there that we dont know.

my dads a cop himself, he would never do such a thing. When he busted me smoking at 14 he ripped me a second asshole but not call the pigs!

Mothers do crazy shit both my parents think weed is the devil's plant but if they did some shit like that I don't even know what would happen. The mother had probably caught the son before and to show him who's boss she did a faceplant and snitched to the cops.

You wouldn't but you don't realize how many squares who buy into the white picket fence theory my parents included. My Mom thought a little piece of bonsai tree was mj had me laughing on my ass with her staring at me concerned oh those were some good times. If she had only knew my true cause to genetically engineer a thc producing bonsai plant that everybody can have in their living room lol.

my parents arent that stupid, but they are still not warming up to the idea of legal marijuana and legal growing. i even hinted to my mom that we should buy some acreage and grow some outdoor crops because it will be legal soon, and she didnt even know what to say! they still cant realize that ITS JUST A PLANT!!
