I haven’t been here long enough to have an opinion as to who ranks among The Best.
But I’ve been here long enough to say that those who’ve given shoutouts to DHF and Granger are on to something. Even though there’s no pictures.
Their willingness to share their knowledge easily puts them on the contender list.
And dank.frank certainly seems to be within those ranks as well. Helpful and extremely knowledgeable from what I’ve seen. And somewhere around here there’s a Dipshit Know-Nothing who strikes me as anything but.
Lots of great growers here. Lots to learn from them. I’m looking forward to it.

Too much criteria to really make an accurate assessment. Best in terms of what, most skill, most successfully completed grows, best gpw ratio, highest quality smoke.
Exactly. And longevity- the years/decades of growing, willingness to help newbies or others with grow problems....

Il second this... U are a master grower when u have such a close relationship with your plants that u know what there tellin u they want or got to much of, n know exactly what to give em or ease off of em with to make em happy lady's n end up with best quality (taste smell n power) n best yield n bag appeal (bud look n crystal content) n end up with such good stuff that u make every1 who smokes it all just as happy..
but also all the knowledgable people in this thread n in every forum that help people

Btw even tho there is no best in my eyes, I think Clackamas Coot deserves a shout out for his knowledge on good organic soil mixs too just seein as they never got a big up like some the other knowledgable heads did already

Thanks for the nod Schmavis, but this crowd (those named) is well above me. I am more of an autodidactic academic (lookit his ego go) absorbing what I can.
When I do get back to formal education, it'll be Dipshit Know Nothing, PhD.
I am not going for a PhD. Wouldn't that be grand though.
Best grower to me means someone who takes all the shit and keeps going year after year. Fuck the esoteric. Growers get'r done and ask for seconds.
And Weird does grow some damn fine looking flower. There. Happy? Miles away.
Just imagine what he could do with some bacon fat compost and a healthy phyllosphere.

I would think some of the best growers are the ones not to many know about , they stay in the back scenes.
just because someone posts up some huge grow op makes them a Jedi ??? or someone that has a means to get the top cuts none of this really matters
Breeders of today have less experience then the ones from the past they never cull in consequence, nor do they really test there males
100 percent of the time they will take someone elses work be it a female or male and slap it with another nice looking plant name it cat piss or something stupid and send it out to market ..

One thing about horticulture or growing is experience since the legalization of MJ in the states everyone now is a Guru lol yup with only 1 year exp you are a master lol
growing in your closet or in your warehouse
And yes even master growers have problems not every grow is perfect like they try to make you believe
There are names like mendo sure he has a nice out door grow but again it buys all amendments simple net search can get anyone what they need to know ..
What about the growers not so big that make there own soils from scratch no amendments or man made products other then there compost bin and get same if not better results but not in the large scale ..
i can very well say Well i am the best grower because i feed the world not just grow pot i have 500 hectares of land i have farmed for 50 years much longer then some names have been alive on this earth
i was taught just by picking up dirt or looking at it what its missing in minerals that is not taught in schools but years of EXP
So my thought is everyone is a master at there level there at
Growing is like a game as you get better you level up plain n simple
what one person may know about a plant some other may know more about in soil biology and so on
