Attachment to use shop press for pre-press?

I've been pre-pressing ~3 gram pucks with a T shaped hand press, and I'm looking at my 10 ton shop press and wondering if there's some sort of attachment I could switch out with my 4x7 plates from Clean Extractions so I can use it to pre-press instead?

Something like this I guess:

Though I wonder if that would be a good size for 4x7 plates?

And here's the press I have:

Hi green54321
Good idea, you'll get some good solid pucks with that press. That pre-press you linked to looks too small for 4x7 plates, at least me anyway. Although you could try pressing two pre-pressed pucks at once, it'd give you an area of 6.5" x 3"

Ideally for 4 x 7 plates, you'll need a 3 x 6 pre-press. I haven't seen any but I'm not searching too hard. here's a 2 x 4 pre press: https://www.powersplates.com/products/pre-press-plate-kit

good luck!

I thought of it as well. I use a QuickGrip, becomes a bit of a pain in the ass.

HoneyRiver strikes me as someone who would build to suit, for a price I imagine they could make a prepress with a collar.

A welder could fashion something up easily.

Would the types of pre-press plates/molds linked above (that don't have collars) be ok to use without taking my Clean Extractions plates off?
So my existing plates would be doing the pressing?
Or would that be a bad idea?

And I wonder how much pressure should be applied? 1 ton?
Glad I sprung for the press with a gauge!

Ah I misunderstood.

Prepress is usually 50-100PSI, I don't see how that would damage anything.

I pre-press at 12 tons cold, then press again at 100* in my rosin press to help the puck stay together during the wrapping process. I am only using kief...

The yield is so low from flower or trim, I prefer to make kief. I also use a turkey bag or food saver bag to press it in sized to the mold...
