Nutrient burn?

MrTonkle

Member
Hey guys iv been having some problems with my current grow some has even died, basically i made a nutrient mix of bottled nutrients and some other stuff this burn started to show after that feeding i also sprayed some of the solution at a lower dosage at the leaves and they got white spots. My blackberry kush seems to be doing fine but the rest seems to suffer. Iv flushed them all with 2 days apart like 3x the container amount each time, should i do it again or is there something else going on? They are autoflowers by the way, ill get more photos of specific parts and stuff if it helps. thanks

It's hard to diagnose your problem exactly because when you say "mix of bottled nutrients" I have no idea what that means, it could be a bunch of different things.

Those plants that are small shouldn't really be needing much nutrients yet. My advice is flush everything with ph'd water for a week or two. Chop off the damaged leaves. Once they start looking healthier then try again with the bottled nutes at a lower concentration. Skip the foliar application at this point too. Less is more.

Thanks, ill be honest i put maybe like 15 grams of a dry "tomatoe nutrients" that would last 3 months(will provide pics of the nutrients) in each pot EU Sized at 11L, then i made a nutrient mix with like 30grams of the stuff, about 40ml of a 7-1-5 bottled nutrient, i put some boiled tea water (7 different kinds of teas) some boiled coffe with the grounds and i also had some pee in it, mixed it all in a 50L bucket and i think its way to strong lol. Two of these germ 19 other 2 31 dec and i think ill get only popcorn out of those, the 2 amnesia xxl auto were germinated 11 Jan, 3x glueberry og and 3x blackberry kush germ'd 17Jan, i did have some ph issues at the early days but last 2 weeks iv been watering with only 6.5 ph water before it was above 7-8ph, got abit stressed about it and wanted to make sure they were feeding enough lol but it seems it did more harm than good

True...or use very diluted, your mixed concoction.

Also i germinated some mexica salvia in the pots in an attempt to drain some of the N from the medium as it looks to be that its mostly a N abundance at this stage ? Should i flush the soil of the worse affected plants again 3x the pot size or just wait abit more? I really dont want them to die, they seem to be improving but not alot like the blackberry kush auto handle this abuse like a beast LOL

Don't flush...just use water as needed next few waterings. Plants are good at telling you what they need.

Larger container, transplanting might be good. Roots don't like being cramped. Good luck!

Don't mix nutrients together...too much of a good thing kills plants.

too wet for roots

too wet for roots

Your running your mix too wet! Maybe not now, but sometime! If you use smaller containers, you get a condense root, and then transplant to the pots you have now. It would be much better! When you have small containers in the beginning its easier to achieve wet to dry cycle. Large containers take longer to dry out in the middle of the pots. Wet pots breed root problems.

Wet dry cycle is very important in the beginning and the end of veg. If you have no other choice and have to use large containers then use less nute and run dryer.

Thanks yeah it was to wet and i didnt use enough perlite, also when i flushed them so much as i did all the nutrients was lost and they are now having N deficiency, the soil was also compacted and the perlite washed to the surface pretty much. but they are in flower now and its to late to change it much i gave them some nutrients today. But i focus more on my new photoperiods the autos were to unforgiving as i also had wrong ph on the water. Im going to go full organic iv ordered worm casting, bone meal, bat guano, myrcel and some volcanic minerals aswell some better organic soil and fine ground peat and perlite to make a good soil mixture. The 10 seedlings atm got a nice mix of 30-40% perlite and the rest lightly fertilized seedling soil which i leave to dry for 1-2 days then i spray water them eavently, already checked and compared the roots of the old and the new and it was a big differance in the growth.:tiphat:
