Australian (ABC), Duck Web & Reindeer Syrup

Hope im not hijacking just want to show ABC resin. Given the right conditions the subterfuge & other abc hybrids can get quite large several feet tall and wide with long skinny branches and thick canopy its just they're small skinny leaflets. I feel like there's breeding room here even though hyb spent over a decade or longer breeding i think they could be something else. Smells like DANK pine kerosene. They're seeded buds but defs will give them a vape if i can.

That breeding project you working on sounds awesome! I’m also working at a similar goal of getting the leafs to become larger but also to get them more ovate ( ideally one or three fingers that are rounded) with the largest calyxs possible! :biggrin:

Such a pretty, standout plant! The pink hairs cover the flowers giving the buds a candy colored appearance.

A sharp pine scent, with an oak backend. The smell reminds me of Train Wreck more than a Jack Herer.

The flowers are stacking hard, looking like a nice yielding variety. Starting to get some resin dancing on the calyxs too.

This plant is really resinous, even though it’s been pollinated all over.

A sweet and somewhat pine smell that keeps making me think of carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Such a treat to smell while in the garden.

Such an amazing plant specimen!

It’s looking like it’s a male, and I’m pumped!
I’ll be crossing the Australian to the Venom OG cit from dark heart. I’ve bought the flowers of Venom OG and I think that the size of the calyxs paired with the size of the calyxs from the Australian should give me a good likelyhood of increasing overall calyx size.

I will also be freezing some pollen to drop on some female ABC to back cross. :biggrin:

The first picture is of a comparison of Venom OG to Sin Mint calyx size.

Everything else is the Australian dude.

ducks foot x ABC would make for spectacular hybrid mutation i wonder.

Pink pistils are heterogeneous i believe, I want to say hybrid vigor. Not sure i mean if it doesn't show up in f2 is it recessive probably a multi Geno allele trait Is it not uncommon if it were dominant why are most seeds white pistillate.

I’m pretty sure the genetics were Chiquita Banana x Big Sur Holy Weed but I could be way off. That’s what I read in a Instagram post long ago from the breeder HI Elevation Genetics.

His father originally found and worked the line.

They’re releasing some at Emerald Cup.

I really didn’t think they were gonna ever release it.

One of my boys just germinated a heap of Ducksfoot he'd had in the freezer for some years. Had 32 seeds, 31 sprouted! Will plant some in my garden among the petunias.

I didn’t think the seeds would ever drop either.

I was going to grab the Holy Fernando since it has the Big Sur x Chiquita Banana and work the line, but now I can buy myself a nice Christmas gift :biggrin:

I’ve read that too, but a friend of mine is working with them and I guess there is a less occurring berry pheno in the line.

I’ve been noticing that a lot of landraces have that trainwreck, piney smell. The only ones that didn’t were the Afghani/Pakistan varieties (from what I’ve grown or seen grown). Of course this is a generalization, but still noteworthy.

This is one fantastic variety! She’s starting to turn a little purple with pink/ magenta hairs. Really chunky flowers and not too much leaf, I’m glad I kept a cut of this seedling! It’s scent is still pine dominated with soft oak notes following.

I’m still stunned by the absolute distinction of this line! Glad this one is a male and I can save some pollen to do some back crossing once I find a few females in the next run ( I’ll post the ABC females in this thread).
