“A number of them have reduced the number of these (virus) receptors by 73 per cent, the chance of it getting in is much lower,” said Kovalchuk.

very cool! not familiar with viruses needing receptors. but maybe something to do with it not being able to attach before injecting its DNA to cells to replicate.
