Yeah if it's just those little pinholes, you're not getting nearly enough airflow through that carbon scrubber. I would look at this thread for making a totally functional carbon scrubber: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?p=509470

You can use different sized pipes to fit your box, but the idea is surface area. You wanna create as much surface area through the carbon as possible to allow for every bit of the air to be filtered by carbon with as little resistance as possible.

not sure why nobody said this but THAT EXHAUST/FILTER DOESNT WORK DAMN youre using big pellets, wich have a small surface area and you have a almost completely blocking material holding it all together google how normal carbon filters look and youll realize this cant work

Yeah I've tested it out with multiple things, actual cannabis, peppermint oil, pine sol on a towel... etc all on from the inside and don't get even a whiff of smell from outside but I'm afraid it will fail later and be quickly overwhelmed to due to only going past the outside of the pellets and not through them like you said. I have begun a different filter and fan set up and will have it ready if need be. Thank for the heads up though!

Soooooo you were correct. As soon as the first plant started throwing out flowers, it overpowered those shitty pellets and started stanking out the garage. Wife complained, I redid the filter. I cut the entire bottom off the container dumped all the charcoal pellets out and bought a bunch of finer ground activated charcoal. Filled the container, wrapped some very breathable cloth over the bottom and taped it all up except the open cloth covered bottom so now it has to suck air through the entire container and all the finely ground charcoal. It is working much better. Also my plants are just over 3 weeks old now and growing like crazy. Only 1 is showing sex, it is a feminized auto so no surprise there.

So it's been a tragic and eventful day on this 4 week since seed popping anniversary.
Since popping 11 seeds.
9 germinated.
7 looked healthy
3 #poundgametv #bluewidowtangie
3 @crazy_hank_genetics #neilarmstrongOG
And 1 @sterquiliniis.seeds mystery freebie.

one #bluewidowtangie was a runt and 1 @fastbuds_genetics #gscauto looked completely dead after it germinated

Many males showed their disgusting parts in the last 24 hours ... Now 1 healthy #bluewidowtangie remains and hasn't shown sex (left bucket).
1 #neilarmstrongOG is left alive and is a FEMALE! (Back of middle bucket)
The #gscauto is still alive albeit extremely stunted and was moved into the recently vacated front of the middle bucket.
The #mysteryfreebie is a fem and is the farthest into flower on the right side of the picture.
And the runt #bluewidowtangie is still hiding in the back right in case it's a girl and is needed.

Only running 6/10 bulbs right now due to it being almost still in my garage so the box is about 88*F

I'm gonna go bury the dead now, shower and sleep.

Since I went 12/12 early I never topped and am doing some LST instead. Been bending them over with super thick soft pipe cleaners. Next grow I am only doing 3 plants and I'll plant them at the back of the buckets or the front and bend them the opposite direction as they grow so that the bulk of the plant is horizontal and the end can bend up a couple inches. This way I can have multiple little flower sites that get light and none of the plants will get too close to the lights. I planned too late on this grow and so the plants are bent haphazardly but I am learning and taking notes. Starting from the left we have bluewidowxtangie which has just barely started showing female flowers. The middle bucket has a gscauto by fastbuds in the front that was all but dead for about two weeks and is slowly coming back to life. It's a fem but is not showing at all and will probably be stunted but we will see. The plant in the back of the middle bucket is a superstartahoexapollo11 that has been showing female for about 3 or 4 days. The right bucket has a mystery autoflower fem from an Instagram buddy and is about a week and a half into flower and is maturing crazy fast compared to the others. No smell outside of the box since switching the filter charcoal out thanks again for the tip Huffnpufferfish even if you did say it like I was a dumbass

so all in all going really well and I'm super excited

Don't be afraid of males, make lots of seeds and smoke the sift. Most strains are just mashups with new names anyway.

Congrats. I must have started at that card for 10 minutes straight when I got it. It is crazy indeed.

Here are some updated bud shots of each plant . They were all just seeds 50 days ago. I have 8/10 bulbs going because I don't like going over 80 degrees in there and it was in the high 70s today so my garage got kinda warm. But even without going to full power this little box is doing great.

This is the top cola off first plant harvested. She's a mystery freebie autoflower that never got more than 12 hours of light due to being with photo period plant. She also had about 1/2 the bucket worth of soil compared to the other plants. And she was probably taken early to be honest at 61 days from seed. What I'm saying is she wasn't cared for properly and I learned a lot but for my first grow she turned out pretty damn amazing!

The other 3 plants are doing great and are anywhere from 1 week or so to 3 maybe 4 weeks.

Day 77 from seed.

So it's about time for an update. Upgraded the carbon filter to a flower_filter. All three plants are still going and still a ways off as you can see from the trichs. They are starting the fade though so it shouldn't be long. I changed the light schedule to 11/13 to try to speed up the process since I have seedlings going for round 2.
